Car shut off by yourself while we were driving on the highway. The key just kind of fell apart.the key fob thing kinda bent over and the car just turned off. Scared the family came to a halt and called aaa. They saw the key bent over and showed us. Called nissan and they said it was not under warranty. because Called dealer, and they said I had to get a new one. Says it cost $500 for each fob. Crazy!

I was driving on the expressway when my car started shaking and a malfunction message came on. My steering then started to steer only to the left and the car would not allow me to control the steering any longer. I hit the median wall, did a 360 and was facing the opposite direction of traffic. The door initially would not unlock to let me out. I kept trying in a panic and all of a sudden they unlocked for me to get out. My car was totaled out by my insurance company.

On 12/17/2022 I was driving 45 mph down a straight road. Suddenly the vehicle swerved left into oncoming traffic (so I was face to face with another vehicle), then swerved right very hard and then left again. My car was its two left tires only for a few seconds during this time. After it swerved across the lane 3 times, I was able to control the steering wheel again. I just missed the car in the opposing lane and my car was also heading towards a telephone poll before I regained the ability to control the car again. During this incident my steering wheel was straight the whole time and did not control the vehicle. I did not hit the brakes or acceleration for fear of a rollover because it was swerving so hard. There were no warning lights on the dashboard during this time or after the incident. About 3 minutes before this incident occurred, my car did something similar and swerved hard to the right while the steering wheel was straight and I did not have control of the steering for a few seconds. Mechanics in the area were called and mentioned that it could be the steering motor that could be failing but were unable to look at the vehicle. I had a mechanic come to my house and he said he could not find a error code on my vehicle's system. The car has not been driven since the incident.

Vehicle is three years old. Never used the spare previously. Had a nail in the tire, so called Nissan Care to come and change it. Nissan Care arrived, used the spare that came with the vehicle and changed the tire. Immediately upon driving it, my wife heard weird noises, including grinding under her feet and grinding near the front right of the vehicle. Some knowledgeable car experts at her work told her she needs to get it checked out. She drove on it for less than 15 minutes before hearing a loud pop from the back, at which point the vehicle started smoking. She drove it to a nearby dealer. The dealer indicated the spare tire was not the same size as the others and because the vehicle has an intelligent all wheel drive system, this caused the rear differential to explode. Nissan RO # 6112906 is the reference number at Martin Nissan in Skokie, IL.

Intermittent issue where turning the wheel quickly, typically when turning left or right through a full rotation (parking or turning down different streets) the wheel will locked bounce back the other way before being able to turn the wheel again. The last time this happened, the issue occurred 2-3 times in succession. I am scheduling an appointment with the dealer to have things checked out. Every time this has happened thus far, it has been at low speeds and recoverable but the concern is that if this happened on an off ramp or on ramp on the highway, it could be very dangerous.

As I was driving on a city street on 09/03/2020 my car decided to stop automatically by itself in the middle of the street. The breaks locked up and the steering as well, I was thrown forward almost hitting my head off the steering wheel, I didn't because I had my seatbelt on, thank goodness. If there was another vehicle behind me I would have most likely died. This is completely unacceptable and should not be happening. I called the dealer where I had purchased it from, performance Kia in moosic, pa and they can not get me in for a whole week which is also unacceptable because I have to drive it in order to get my children around and myself to work, this is scary and needs to be resolved. I noticed plenty of other people complaining about this issue as well!

While turning on an off ramp the steering gave out and locked, causing the car to drive directly into the guard rail. Yes the car was moving but stealthily as I slowed down to make the turn. The car was thrown from the left guard rail to the right side causing extensive damage and no airbag deployed in the event of this crash. The car was no longer able to move from such a drastic accident and yet it was not enough for the airbags to even attempt to save our lives. There were kids in the car! thank the heavens we were able to get out of the wreck alive. One wheel was turned inward as it attempted to turn while the right front wheel stayed straight. It was a nightmare and we are all still shaken up by this.

My car has been dying intermittently for the past few months while stationary. Today my vehicle shut off while I was driving home on a residential street, traveling approximately 35 miles per hour, causing the steering to lock up and my vehicle to abruptly stop. All the indicator lights shut off as well. Another vehicle had to swerve into the other lane to avoid rear ending me.

Bought a new 2018 Rogue sv on 5/8/19 & have had continuous & unfixed problems with it. With 165 miles on the car, I took this Rogue to the lebrun dealership in auburn, NY to correct 2 problems: 1 was the "repeated and very noticeable vibrations in the steering wheel & body of the car." And other electrical problems. Brought the Rogue back to lebrun 5 more times to get these noticeable vibrations corrected. Both the owner & Nissan factory rep.drove the car and both agreed that I had vibrations in the steering wheel, etc. Why" their answers were: "it has something to do with the transmission." If Nissan knows what the problem is, why are they continuing to sell these cars with a known engineering designed-in defect? I asked for my money back but lebrun won't because he didn't build the car. And Nissan" they too refused & honor their warranties and promises. I find that the dealership owner, Nissan & the factory rep. To be corrupt and unethical in refusing to live up to their published warranties and promises. The fact that Nissan & lebrun have known about these severe vibration problems for years & the factory rep. Had "determined my vehicle was operating as designed" is untrue. Nissan has refused to fix this engineering designed-in flaw is truly unacceptable & borders on the criminal, especially for the fact that they're still there in the 2019 and 2020 Rogue models. I drove a 2020 Rogue with the owner and the vibrations are still there. Also, this 2018 Rogue has various electrical problems, such as: It kept, & still does at times, change my settings from fm to cd, xmradio to am, etc.; keeps blowing a 20 amp fuse when I tried to install a multi-outlet device & plugged in a dash cam & a radar detector. Also, if I just plug in my radar detector, shut off the ignition & open any door, the radar detector turns on. Electrical problems galore.

My car would disruptively break in its own, when I first bought this car, the safety system break light stayed on, St the time I didn't know what that was nor did anybody was able to explain, I took it in to find out there was damage wires and electrical issues and. Dead rat, the brakes also squeaked unusually at times, they also mentioned this was normal and brakes were new, with a lot of complaints and mis informed information I ended up being stuck buying this car, I would consider this a lemon issue but the head department of enterprise where I bought the car took car and reinsured uit was all good to go and fixed, I also bought extra warranty, but shortly after down the road I have had unusual experiences with my car braking in traffic and then releasing very disruptively which had even caused me to lose handle along with my new born, various of times I had concerns U til one day I was slowing down at a light the car brakes very disruptively the car behind me a mother in her prius with her two children slammed into my car, this brake system is not safe. It's causing more issues and hazard accidents then safety.. I am very very sadly in happy customer as I don't feel safe to drive and again this needs to be a recall and I want out of this car Z

Aeb system randomly alerts or engages while driving even with no obstructions. Error says "unavailable front radar due to obstructions" no obstructions are visible on road. Occurs while driving 10-20mph or 50+ on highway. Second complaint, infotainment system randomly restarts/reboots on its own during the day.

Trouble with the electronics from new. Occasionally when I hang up the phone on bluetooth, the radio volume is full blast. It does adjust the volume after a couple seconds. Then the aeb was engaging when there were no obstacles, not going up a ramp, nothing. This occurred at lower speeds, three times in a parking deck and once in a parking lot. So I mentioned it and the 'advisory' card I received from Nissan when I brought it in for the 15K oil change. The dealer told me they did a sw upgrade and all was well. Driving the car the next day and the power steering was out (warning light on), aeb warning light on and the climate control was completely black. Took it back to the dealership, where it has been for over two weeks now. They said they have tried new computer modules, but cannot seem to get it resolved. The electronics never seemed right with this vehicle and I am concerned about the safety of it now.

I was driving on a back road of which the speed limit was 45. I had slowed down to 34 as I came into a curve. The car went off the road as I came into the curve just a little. I turned the wheel to get the car back on the road but the steering wheel did not respond. The car continued off the road and sped up, I tried to stop the car with the brakes and they didn't respond either. The car continued to speed up and slammed headon into a large tree. I tried everything I could to turn away and stop the car with no success at all. I had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance. Thankfully nothing broken but severely bruised and banged up. I have whiplash, a severe seatbelt burn across by neck, shoulder, collar bone and chest. Serious bruising on both hips, left knee, right hand and foot, lower abdomen and chest. The contact rented a 2018 Nissan Rogue. While driving approximately 10 mph through a parking lot, the front driver's side wheel made contact with the side of a curb. After making contact with the curb, the vehicle suddenly accelerated to approximately 80 mph. During the incident, the vehicle made a sharp 90 degree turn and the steering wheel became very difficult to turn in either direction. The vehicle crashed into a commercial building. The vehicle penetrated the wall and stopped inside the building. Both the driver and front passenger suffered head and neck injuries, which required medical treatment. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed away. The cause of the failure was not determined. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The failure mileage was unknown. October 3, 2018 I went to a local mall. On my way out of the parking lot lights started blinking on my dash and the automatic emergency braking system engaged unexpectedly when there was no other car near my car either in front or on either side. The vehicle was moving steadily about 25 to 30 mph on the road before you get to rte 100/422 bypass. There was no reason for this incident to occur since there was no other car nearby, no debris on the road, and nothing adhering to the front of the car near the sensor. I was totally freaked out because the car was jerking, the car (not the driver was in control) and it almost did not stop at ta major intersection. God forbid I was on a major highway or I would have been dead. The vehicle was in motion but the control of the vehicle was under absolute control of the automatic breaking system.
