I bought out my leased 2018 Nissan Rogue in April 2021 The transmission has failed after 13 months and it is not a cheap fix $10000 Nissan Canada they offer me 25% form the fixing cost.

I called NISSAN CANADA and they call the dealer with my vin # and open ticket # to ask for the problem, after they said you out of warranty only they can offer me 25% from total cost.

I did change the transmission oil from my dealer ,after I start feel this issue

Rogue SV

  • CVT transmission
  • 71,000 miles

My transmission completely failed and I lost all ability to drive the vehicle due to no acceleration when the car is running. Nissan is clearly aware of the issue due to their extended warranty offers on older models but has done nothing to remediate the issue for newer models. I only wish I had been as aware of their transmission issues before I bought the car as they were.

Rogue SV 2.4L

  • CVT transmission
  • 43,000 miles

My 2016 Nissan Rogue SV just blew out it's CVT at 43,000 miles. Repair covered under warranty. Total cost for the replacement was $3440. Also, a year ago my Rogue had the popular driver's seat assembly problem. The entire thing was replaced at the cost of $1250. Thankfully that repair made it under the warranty as well. That's close to $5000 in repairs on a car that's 2 1/2 years old. I'm not sure what happened, but Nissan's are junk now. Avoid Nissan, at least the ones with the CVTs, at all costs.
