I rented this vehicle from Hertz Rental Car in December. It was a replacement for the Nissan Sentra I rented that had a passenger door that kept getting stuck due to the door panel being loose. On December 23, 2025, I called roadside and told them that the tire light was on, n and I had to put air in the car to fix a flat and get home. I was told by the roadside that because I didn't purchase roadside through them, I would be charged. I explained to the man that all four tires were bald. He told me it couldn't be authorized. I ended up using my aAAAtwice. I was told by them and the emergency mobile tire repair people that the tires were no good. I had to drive on those tires through the rain and snow with my children. I couldn've hydroplaned or hit someone. They did put an inspection hold on the vehicle, but nobody checked; they just asked me if I got it fixed and continued to rent it out to me. I spoke with the manager of the location who previously told me that I may be charged for the tire because I didn't have roadside assistance and he said he charged the madison heights location for it. So that's proof I was not at fault and paid over a thousand dollars for a vehicle that was not safe for the road.
