My car has been jumping up in revs when I'm on the highway, usually around 100 km/h but its sometimes around 80 as well. I'll be going along steady and then the the revs will jump from 2300 to 3000 just for a moment, but it will keep happening over and over and the car will be jerky and lose power when it jumps, and lately I can smell oil, but can't find any leaks. I have taken it to a transmission "specialist" 4 times now in a 6 month period and they still haven't fixed the problem. They had no problem finding other issues that ended up costing me over 5K to fix. I have seen the problem listed here for newer models, but I'm not sure if they had found a solution. Can someone please help?? This is driving me nuts.
