Screen Bubbling, will eventually fail the screen. Repair is quoted at around $1400 from the dealership. I have the extended warranty and am the only owner of the truck. Bought the extended warranty exclusively for the coverage on the screen which apparently is next to nothing.

I have just over 16,000 miles on my 2018 Ram 1500 now, and the radio screen has been steadily delaminating for the past year. It's terribly annoying, and at times potentially dangerous. The screen started de-laminating before the truck's warranty ran out, but it was during the height of Covid so I saw no point in complaining about something I couldn't get fixed in a timely manner. It has since de-laminated even more!

I complained to to uscustomercare@fcagroup.com about the delaminated screen on February 22, 2022, but yet to get a response almost a full month later. I expect more from a brand that I have been loyal to for more than two decades. I never made a single claim while my truck was under warranty, and technically it was under warranty when this problem began. My bad - I guess that I didn't reach out to them sooner, but I expect at the very least a response to my complaint with an explanation of where they stand on the issue.

I've bought four (4) Dodge/Ram trucks in the past 16 years, but this will be my last if I don't get some kind of intelligent, caring response from the 'FCA group."

I live in Hampton Roads, VA so the summers are pretty hot and humid. My Uconnect 8.4" touch screen radio started peeling and bubbling in the right corner and proceeded to de-laminate all across the top of the screen about 1.5" down. It was only covered under the basic warranty, but thankfully I still had it. It took about a month and a half to get really bad, and it was so bad that the screen started shifting my pre-set radio stations on its own. I basically have to shut if off until it was fixed.

uconnect touch screen melting/bubbling

My display screen is melting, bubbling, dripping from the inside. This is a known issue to the Dealership here in South Texas.

I have been waiting for almost 2 months to get a replacement radio. I am so frustrated that the Factory keeps making up new excuses.

I have been told that it is cosmetic it won't be covered. I was told they would replace the radio with a remanufactured radio because this is a known issue. I have been told they are sending me a new replacement because this is taking too long. I have been told it has been sent with a tracking number to the Dealer but the Dealer never gets it. No one can ever give solid answer or time to actually replace this screen.

Everyone one is very nice, but it is impossible to get them to supply a replacement of this obviously defective display screen.
