The truck has 57,000 miles, just started getting intermittent ABS, and Traction Control lights coming on and the dinger goes off when the lights come on. Thanks
My 2018 Ram 2500 threw and ABS warning lamp and code C0020-01, which was confirmed by Key Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Rochester, NH on [XXX]. I lost brake performance on my drivers side. Upon removing the brakes on the passenger side I discovered the pads had disintegrated, while the drivers side pads showed considerably less wear. Abs light keeps intermittent and loss of traction control! Hcu or Abs module is the problem for the intermittent cycle on the dash! Seen other people having similar problems with that particular year 2017-2018 rams 2500-3500 models.
Intermittent ABS and Traction control warning lights. Had repair shop look at it and they recommend replacing ABS and HCM modules. Truck is a 2018 Ram 2500 with only 40 000 miles and is no longer under warranty. I can't afford to replace part please help.
ABS light and chime is intermittently coming on and off. while the light is on the cruise control does not work. Every time the light comes on the chime sounds. the system light will go on and off sometimes at an extremely annoying rate.
The ABS system in my truck has failed 2 times in the past 2 years. The ABS module failed at 36,000 miles was replaced in fall 2021 with a "updated" AB part number. Less than 2 years later in the fall of 2023 the ABS failed again at 60,000 miles. At this time I was told that the replacement parts were not available until march 2024. Parts availability has been pushed back and I have no idea when they will become available. I am left with a vehicle that has no function ABS system, stability control or cruise control.
service ABS system/Service electronic brake system alert keeps coming on and off. This is a known problem with 2018 HD ram 2500. Dodge refuses to issue a recall for this, and parts are not available from the manufacturer to fix it. Doesn't matter what speed you are going, how bumpy the road is.
Currently are having to replace the ABS component, AGAIN. Already replaced it once. First time was about 2.5 years ago. I have a receipt, but unable to download at this time. Truck was dropped off yesterday at mechanic shop for same issue. (05-14-24)
ABS control module and HCU is out, diagnosed from my mechanic, causing intermittent loss of my ABS, traction control, and cruise control. From what I understand Dodge is aware of the issue but has not issued a recall as of now. The truck has now been involved a reared collision on February 13th caused in part by the lack of the ABS working
For the second time since the vehicle's purchase in 2019, the Antilock Braking System is flashing an intermittent error stating that the Antilock Braking System needs to be serviced. When the system flashes the error, the antilock brakes, cruise control, and stability control become disabled. The error sometimes will clear itself, and then immediately return a minute or two later. Three years ago I had this same issue repaired once before under the vehicle warranty. At that time, I was told the Hydraulic Control Unit for the ABS system had failed. Now, without warning or reason the system is failing once again and RAM refuses to replace this defective part. Through an online investigation, I have discovered that thousands of Ram owners are experiencing the same defective part and circumstances. Without proper functioning brakes, antilocking brakes and stability control, the vehicle cannot be driven without great risk to the vehicle's operator and occupants, and additionally other motorists.
The service abs and service electrical brake system flashes on and off, dings. Occurs at all speeds, in town driving seems to make it ding worse on and off on and off Some days it doesn-??t hardly do it, some days it is non stop. This prohibits the use of cruise control also, with a faulty braking alert the cruise aUto disengages From looking at dodge forums this is a very common issue in 2018 2500 ram trucks. A friend of mine who has the same truck is currently also having the same issue. No one but dodge can read the code or make a repair or even get the parts. They are covering up the issue I believe. You can find tons of people complaining of this issue and dodge needs to issues a recall. I have found enough info to know what parts are required to repair it but you can-??t get the mopar parts anywhere but dealer. Re track # 11446070. Had dealer repair at cost of over $1600. ABS pump and hydraulic control unit failure. Why no recall for this known safety problem?
The first time this happen was 7/21/2021 at 10761 miles it was the ABS hydraulic control unit/pump motor this was fixed and was under warranty. Now it has happened again had scanner check to tell me what was wrong 5/10/2024 it showed ABS hydraulic control unit/pump motor has failed once again at less than 3yrs. with milage 25027 and out of warranty. This is a big safety issue that needs to be recalled if this is going to be an ongoing thing. You cannot get it to stop like it is suppose to I almost wrecked it the first time and i`m starting to get scared of it all warning lamps and messages came up. this time it first appeared 5/1/2024. It has been confirmed by dealer 5/10/2024. This is an expensive fix and if this is be an ongoing thing then it should be Recalled before somebody gets hurt or killed, I cannot imagine going down a highway at 70 mph and it locks up. Please help with this issue
had to replace the abs pump since warning light would fluctuate on/off. It would randomly go on/off for no apparently reason. Mechanic indicated it was a valve that would not operate properly. Worried that I would loss brakes given the warning.
ABS / Traction control code lights up randomly. Service tech inspected brake system and said there have been numerous issues with 2017-2018 Ram 2500 ABS systems due to defective ABS HCU and Control Module.
