ABS service light continues to ding. Part replaced 12/2019 @ 6,000 miles. Issue again 5/2023 @ 24,500 miles. Dealership unable to order part states it is defective for 2018 dodge ram 2500 truck. This causes abs failure.
ABS light come on intermitting, and dealership said it needs a new ABS module, but they cannot get the part because it is under review, so I cannot even get the part.
At 36,000 miles have been told I need to replace ABS pump control general electrical failure. Also replace ABS module. Parts are not available and are on backorder. I pull a 25 foot camper and this issue is causing concern with vehicle stopping. Apparently is a big problem as parts are not available and dealers that have part will not release parts so my truck can be fixed.
Getting Code C0020. The ABS light and traction control light go on and off while driving down road. This also disables the cruise control. Seems like alot of people are having this issue with there Rams. Seems like a safety issue with the brakes because its intermittent.
I am having an intermittent service ABS warning light. I took the vehicle in for service and they advised that the ABS HCU needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, they said that the part was back ordered till September. Which means my vehicle has an annoying "dinging" as the alert to have my ABS serviced comes on and off, regularly disengages my cruise control, and at times I am without ABS and traction control.

Following a Uconnect update in March 2023 the vehicle exhibited the following errors: rear parking sensors failed, ABS brake failure, cruise control failure. ABS module was replaced 5/5/23 at cost to me of $529.86 by RAM dealer. Per dealer, ABS system will not function as ABS motor (HCU) must also be replaced and is not available pending "engineering review" in late August. Vehicle is like new with 23,000 miles on it. The vehicle is no longer operating as designed by Dodge RAM causing risk to me and others. This is a known issue to the manufacturer and they have failed to issue a recall and correct the problem on this vehicle.
ABS module system has been replaced twice.. needs to be replaced again per Dodge tech. No parts available. Unsafe to drive vehicle with no power brakes This is not unique to my truck. various individuals having same problem with same model Electrical Instrument cluster with display has been replaced and currently working.
This vehicle has had the hydraulic control unit (HCU) replaced once, and the power steering pump replaced twice, with another issue pending resolution. The vehicle has 74,323 miles, under one owner. The symptoms are that the service ABS and traction control system lights and warning indicators will randomly activate, normally after a rough patch of road. The cruise control will not function, nor will the ABS system while this occurs. The dealerships have no replacements, and no estimates of repair.
Abs / traction lights come on and off intermittently for 2 years now since about 27k miles. It now stays on most of the time. While on, i have no cruise control. A Stare Farm approved repair facilty, Don Shetler Chevy, checked the codes when the lights came on more permanently in October 2022. They state it is the HCU that needs to be replaced. Now out of warranty.
About every 10 to 15 seconds an alarm sounds and warning sign blinks on dash with message to service anti-braking system and traction control. If cruise control was engaged it disengages and sometimes will not reset until engine is turned off and restarted. Vehicle seems to have braking issues, especially on wet pavement. Brake pads have been checked and are ok. Vehicle odometer has 34102 miles on it..
2018 Ram 2500 with 50,056 miles on it and the ABS and Traction control light is on again with Code C0020. The first time this happened was July 2020 at 22,300 miles and the dealer replaced the ABS pump motor. It happened again May 2022 at 41,770 miles and the dealer replaced the ABS pump again. Once again the check engine light is on and the pump needs to be replaced again for the third time at 49,900 miles.
ABS light turning On & Off randomly causing my traction control to turn off. I-??ve read on other ram forms that it caused people to get into accidents or loose complete control of their vehicle. It-??s getting out of hand.
On my way to work one day the check engine light, ABS light and traction control light came on and I thought something under the hood had came loose thought nothing about it and went into work when I came back out and got into the truck the lights where gone no big deal just sorta let it go and since I work out of state this is the truck I drive when I go back to my home state so I drove it 4 hours one way and never had a problem and then on my way back to my work state the truck shut off and wouldn-??t start back up for about 45 minutes or so but when it did it had a red lightning bolt, ABS, traction control and check engine light on so I called the dealership and asked them to check on it but by the time they got it in the shop the lights had went back off and they told me that nothing was wrong with it so I went to pick it up the next day but as soon as I got 1/2 a mile down the road it started the same thing brakes going in and out truck shutting off so they paid for it to be towed back and figured out that the egr and the abs brake module was going out and tried to make me pay for everything out of pocket because it had just went out of warranty with ram but it had the extended warranty and keep in mind this truck has 30k miles on it but anyways they replaced the egr but have yet to replace the abs braking module
Service Electronic Braking System and ABS light is on. I was going 75mph on a highway here in Texas I had 57,487 miles at the time on my 2018 Ram 2500 6.4-liter tradesman crew cab hemi truck. cruise control was on then the light popped up kicking it out of cruise control locking up my back tire for 2 seconds. I called the dealership to see if there was a recall on it they said no. I took it to an aftermarket service center here in Texas and he said the HUC and the ABS module should be replaced at the same time. One of the parts are on backorder its costing me $1,357.98 to replace this. I was doing some research online I notice I wasn't the only one with this issue.
The ABS system failed on my truck while under warranty (around 12,000 miles). I took it to my closest Ram dealer and they -??fixed-?? it by replacing the hydraulic pump associated with the ABS. Everything was fine until about 3 months ago when it failed again. I took it to my local dealer about it and they told me the same part had failed and they would fix it under hood will since it had been with in 3 years. However, after waiting 3 months for a back ordered part to come in, turns out the ABS module failed and it should have been replaced the first time, but since it was not, I am now in the hook for it. Now I am stuck with a 2018 Ram which the ABS has now failed twice within 60,000 miles. This isn-??t an isolated incident talking to other Ram owners and judging by the in ability to get replacement parts and needs to be addressed. Thank you. ABS control valve has failed twice was replaced on 11/01/2021 at 67429 miles. On 5/09/2023 truck was put in shop with same problem. Dealer now wants to replace the ABS control valve and the controller
