The glass windshield is defective. This is the second I have had to replace in a year. I came out to move my car and noticed a crack across the windshield. I park in a private driveway and no cars were around it.
Since may of 2019 we have had the windshield replaced and eyesight calibrated 5 times. We drive the same route with both vehicles (other is not Subaru) and no damage to the other vehicle for at least 6 years now.
I was picking my son up from school when the crack started, as I sat in the parking lot it continued down and across the center of the windshield. There were no chips or dings to be found. I do believe it causes the forward crash indicator to trip sooner than it should.
I purchased my Outback in April of 2019. While I was driving on a highway, my Outback's windshield cracked in June of 2019 and my local Subaru dealership replaced the windshield during the summer of 2019. Then while I was driving on a highway in July of 2019 the windshield of my 2019 Outback cracked again. Subaru Outback's replacement windshields are no better than the original windshields. They are defect as well. My 2019 Subaru Outback's windshield has cracked twice in an 14-month period.

We developed two spontaneous cracks in our windshield. The vehicle was stationary, parked in our garage. No debris hit the windshield at any time. The cracks begin under/at the driver side near/under the wiper unit. (the cracks essentially form a wide "V" one crack toward the passenger side is quite long and growing, the other is short - about 3" now also growing). The location of the beginning of the crack/S is under the level of the hood of the car, which would also make it near impossible for the crack to be due to a pebble, gravel, etc.

Came home and set up an appoint at service dealership for 11:30 on December 14. Dec. 14, 2020 - Monday -drove home from dealership, continued to drive car for a F about 25 miles. I was driving on the freeway and my windshield cracked at the passenger side bottom as the crack traveled up the windshield. I did not notice anything hit it.
I bought a certified Subaru Outback 2019 in February 2020 with 4500 odometers reading. While I was driving my car on the highway on March 15, 2020, a tiny stone hit on my windshield and cracked my windshield. I replaced it on June 17, 2020 which cost me $960.
Windshield cracked on its own (clearly no point of impact). Started at the base of the windshield, about 3 inches to the right (passanger) side of the midline. Propagated throuhgout the whole windshield and needed to be replaced.
Driver's side vent window shattered without impact on 10/31/2020 while in transit southbound on route 28 near highlands park bridge near pittsburgh, pa., moving at approx. 55mph. Driver's side was facing towards a river separated from northbound traffic by an approx. 40 foot drop. No traffic was in front/behind/to the passenger's side at the time.
I just experienced my second windshield breakage and was not hit by a rock, object, etc. Both times I was driving on an interstate (I95 in Florida). The first time (2019) was mid afternoon, low traffic pattern. The most recent time (Nov 2020) was approx 5:45am on interstate 95 North headed to work. There was no traffic in either direction for miles.
I have owned this vehicle since late May 2019 and I have had to replace 4 windshields due to cracks that developed from both minor rock strikes and when nothing has damaged it.
The car was purchased certified pre owned with less than 20000 miles. After I got my first car wash noticed thousands of pit in the window. They had it super covered with a compound the wash took off. Now for no reason a huge crake went through the windshield! warranty of course won't cover it. Wham!!! $$1000 repair! I have had car less then three months.
Driving down the interstate and my sunroof explodes. There were no cars around. No indication of something hitting it, especially considering I had a large cargo roof box covering the windshield. If something did hit it, it would have been an impossible angle to clear the roofbox but also not make any other marks on my car? I have had the car for two weeks. Thankfully had the sunshade closed because if not, glass would have exploded into the car and onto me driving as well. Now the glass was spewed over the interstate and I have an obvious unlocked entry point into my car. When it exploded, it sounded like a shotgun blast. I thought I was being shot at.
We bought our 2019 Subaru Outback in may, 2019. Before we had 1000 miles, a rock hit the windshield and cracked it. First replacement/recalibration. The vehicle was sitting in the garage in February 2020 when I noticed a crack across the windshield. A second replacement/recalibration. This morning (8/24/2020) when I got in my car in the parking lot to return home from md va I noticed my third cracked windshield. I will be replacing it soon. I have comprehensive coverage through geico, so I have no out-of-pocket expenses, but I believe that something must be lacking in the design or quality of the windshield to have it crack three times in 15 months.
Front windshield is cracked in same location, two separate events, over a period of 4 weeks. Each time the crack appears to originate in the top center of the windshield and then the crack migrates to the center of the windshield.
My windshield have been replace 3 times in the last 8 months do to stress cracks henderson glass is not going to replace them again they are saying that is a manufacturing issue. Please help this cant be happening I already pay $600 for
I am submitting a formal complaint regarding the Subaru windshield class action lawsuit. I am the fleet manager of a large company. We recently purchased about 30 2019-2020 Subaru vehicles including the Outback, forester and legacy. Approximately, 1/3 of them experienced a random windshield break. All of them have been replaced. 3 of those replaced, cracked again. I've received no assistance from Subaru and my drivers receive no warranty assistance from the dealerships. I'd like to speak to someone to add my complaint to the growing list of other complaints. I understand the lawsuit could take some time before a final decision, I want to make sure our vehicles are included. Thank you
