Driving on highway and windshield spontaneously cracked 3 inches. No impact from rock. Haven't driven since and it's now cracked halfway across the windshield. Definitely a defect.
Windshield spontaneously cracked. Subaru replaced under warranty and about 5 months later the replacement also spontaneously cracked. Subaru has claimed "outside influence" caused the replacement to crack and has decline to replace again under warranty. Both times the cracking happened during a snowfall while parked in the driveway.
The windshield is cracked. I went out to my car on May 16 and on the front windshield there was a "Y" shaped crack going up from the bottom middle of the windshield. When I went back outside on May 18, the crack had spread about 4 inches toward each side of the windshield. On May 21, the crack had spread more and is curving around. The car was parked in my driveway when all of this happened.
My car would not start (today, O5/14/2020), I had to call road assist, and person who jump started my car told me that there is a problem with this particular model, Subaru Outback 2019, for example today he had to jump start 3 cars exactly like mine (Subaru Outback 2019). He told that battery should not go bad this fast, that something is draining it and I should schedule appointment with dealership asap to fix the ongoing problem to avoid future hardship. I have 9800 miles on my car.

I believe the problem is with the eyesight driver assist if this is associated with the cruise control. I have the car set at 3 car lengths & use cruise always. On the highway when cruise is set to 70 - with or without following another car - I will look down and I find myself going 85 miles an hour. This happens every time I drive on the highway. Other problem is the safety feature of staying in one's lane. I have never had to hold onto a steering wheel to keep control over the vehicle like I do now. It over-corrects and I have actually been thrown into another lane. This is most dangerous on the highway. I have had this problem since getting the car and have reported it and have been blown off by Subaru dealership where I bought the car as well as a local Subaru repair shop
18" long windshield crack appeared on the passenger side about 6" from the bottom. I was driving on the highway and it may have cracked when or if pebble hit it. A lot of bugs died on my windshield that morning too so I had to use my windshield wipers and washer fluid. I did not notice a crack because it was way too dark in the morning to see anything. I noticed the crack at 1pm in the parking lot at work getting ready to go home.
The windshield on my 2019 Subaru Outback cracked out of nowhere while I was driving to work. There had been nothing up to this point that would have resulted in the windshield cracking. There were no chips or dents previous to the cracking.
I purchased a 2019 Subaru Outback four months ago and am now on my third windshield. I have been driving for 35 years and at best had a small chip on my windshield. 4 months 3rd windshield. Not a chip but totally shattered. With the eyesight technology in the car it's very expensive to replace. The first windshield was hit by something that grazed off the windshield. The second I came out in the morning and the windshield had a two foot long spit down the center of it.
Window slow/stop going up on driver side door, audio system was having loud popping noise, system that is supposed to tell you when how close you are to another car/automatically break- turns off on own/says no sight camera.
While driving home, on a highway, had a small rock hit my windshield and with in minutes my whole left side was cracked, now it's almost the end of the right side.
Windshield has spontaneously cracked four different times since purchase in September 2018. Windshield has been replaced three times to date. Each time damage appears to start near the bottom of the glass, then spiders out. It is not clear that road debris or any other external force caused the cracking. This is a known defect and should be corrected by Subaru with a re-designed part. Sending the same windshield over and over does not fix the inherent problem. Your form does not allow for multiple incidences of the same problem over time. Please see attached documents. Are you working with Subaru to correct this problem?
Windshield has a crack under the wiper blade that has spread outward in a C pattern. Vehicle was parked in shopping area and no other personal were nearby. Weather was clear and no objects had impacted the vehicle while driving. Star pattern was noticed after dealership used pen to open the area up more. Please see attached picture
After owning 2019 Subaru Outback for 6 months, washing it I found 6 to 7 chips scattered around the front windshield. I had the windshield replaced due to living in Florida, not wanting to take any chances. I driving vehicles for more than 45 years, I don't think that I had 6 chips on all the vehicles combined. I believe that Subaru has inferior quality windshield glass.
While driving down a state highway on 9/26/19 at 55 mph my passenger and I heard a small little tick sound and she said, "that's the same sound my crosstrek made on Monday when it chipped and cracked the windshield". so we started looking around the windshield and sure enough now mine was chipped and cracked at 5 weeks of age, both vehicles were bought new. Then a few weeks later, 10/12/19, on an interstate at 70mph another small, insignificant tick and I start looking around and again, same thing. Yesterday (as of this post) on a state highway at 55mph, right in front of me this time the same small tick sound yet another chip and crack! I've hit bugs harder than these hits that are producing chips and cracks!! both my 2019 crosstrek and 2019 Outback now have multiple chips and cracks in their brand new windshields and none of them are from legitimate impacts with a stone or rock.
