The car has trouble gaining traction on snow and ice. Traction control system tends to move back and forth between front tires so that it is difficult to get traction. If both tires would pull together when slipping it would be much better. We have discussed this with dealer and they have indicated that some of the suv's with similar problems have a switch to turn off the mechanism which helps to solve the problem. This car is not a good choice for snow/ ice areas.
