Checker wheel bolts after dealer rotated tires. Couldn't get any to tighten further when up to 160 ft-lb of torque was applied. It took a lot of torque to loosen the bolts, it never could have been done with tools supplied by Toyota with the car. Bolts were torqued to proper value.
Question, at what torque are these studs overtorqued and subject to failure?
Should this be reported to proper authority like transportation safety board?
Any advice?
