The engineers at Toyota designed this car so that you can't lock the doors with the engine running. If you live in the Northern United States and want to keep your car running when its 20 below and your out shopping or want to warm it up before you leave your home, then don't buy a Toyota Avalon. Being that Toyota engineers are that stupid, if I were you, I just wouldn't by a Toyota period.
