There has been a recall on my vehicle for about a year with the passenger side air bag. This is getting ridiculous. My notice suggests to not have someone riding in the passenger seat until recall is fixed. I have a family of four so that is not going to happen. I don't have any other options. Is there any idea of when this is going to be addressed?

Takata recall - I received the recall notice over a year ago regarding my air bags being recalled. To date Toyota has done nothing. When I asked at the puente hills Toyota I was told they were working on the issue and that was almost a year ago and that I was not entitled to a rental car. These airbags are dangerous and my toddler son sit in the back seat with me as the driver. If there were to be an accident and the air bag deployed with the metal shrapnel that is in it then both him and I could be severely injured or even suffer death. Is this what Toyota wants on their hands" injuries of a child and a single mother" I want my car fixed and I want it fixed within the next 60 days. I also want my repairs to be done by my mechanic if at all possible because the Toyota dealership at puente hills is unreliable and untrustworthy with any repairs they make.

Takata recall. June 2016 rec'd letter from Toyota that my car was part of the recall and "recommendation" not to drive with occupant in front passenger seat until remedy becomes available. I still have not been offered a fix for this problem. Can't have my family or friends ride in front. Therefore, my car ends up sitting and not being driven as often as it should be to maintain good performance of engine, hoses, etc. Fix is taking too long. I lived in Florida when I bought my car. Now live in North Carolina. Does this make a difference. Toyota is taking too long to come up with a "fix". thank you.

Takata inflators the dealer told me today ( 3/16/2017 ) that I have to wait until December 2017 for a remedy. This is not acceptable and unrealistic to not have a passenger in the front seat for almost a year. Come on now, let's get this fixed by summer as heat and humidity can cause the air bag to inflate. Takata inflators I received a recall notice from Toyota in June 2016. I have been periodically calling the dealer to find out when the repair parts would be available but I keep getting told (today included, 3/16/17) that they have no idea when the parts will be released. It has almost been a year and no resolution. This is ridiculous! my daughter refuses to have anyone ride in the passenger seat because of this. When is the federal government going to put pressure on Toyota to fix this problem?
