I hit a pothole on September 1, 2007. Lee's Toyota in Queens NY has had my car for repairs since that date. It is now Wednesday, October 3 - 33 days later. There are 2 problems here. First, since hybrids have become popular, Toyota is not making sufficient parts for repairs to avoid a parts problem at the dealership. But, even when Lee's had the parts, which was September 20, they are still unwilling to devote the time and man power needed to repair the car. This is a complicated and difficult job - which is true of all hybrids. I still do not have a car, and I am beyond the period when the insurance company will help pay for a rental, and there is no indication that Lee's has any interest in completing this job. I have contacted Toyota's Customer Experience Center, and they are of no help. My recommendation is to think very carefully before buying a hybrid - especially from Toyota. Are you going to be able to get it repaired?
