Before this became a problem, I thought the AC unit was operating well. After bringing my car in to Toyota for a headlight issue, they discovered something was wrong with the AC unit, they said they it was leaking and that they had to find the leak; I then had to authorize a $180 diagnostic before they could official say exactly what was wrong. In the end, the service department and mechanics found the leak and were able to get approval from the warranty department to cover the expense. Note: if the leak was caused by something other then that, it would not be covered by warranty then I would have had to pay for both the diagnostic and the part(s).
