All controls on radio/ blue tooth/nav system suddenly stopped working. I cannot turn off radio, cannot change channels, cannot adjust volume. I cannot use Nav System nor can I use bluetooth. It's especially annoying as I subscribe to Sirius and am now wasting money spent on my subscription. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED with Toyota. Many people in my family own Toyotas (sisters, nieces, nephews, daughter) and we ALL say how happy we are with our cars. This will now change.
In researching the problem, I see that there is a lot of history with problems of radios with this particular make and year. Toyota is aware of it and is not helping. I was just quoted $1485 from the dealer for the "exchange" program rebuilt radio and that doesn't even include labor.
My 2014 Rav4 limited edition, the screen went into the loading zone and is stuck there. 3 months out of warranty. dealer re-installed the software which didn't fix the issue. still waiting to see what is the next step but this is not acceptable.
The Entune XM radio with navigation developed a loss of control. I am unable to turn it off with the knob. The touch screen is inoperable, with the last station being the only one to play. There is loss of volume and station control. After car is turned off there appears to be a humming noise from in the console as if a CD is spinning.
