I had my oil changed yesterday & they told me my left strut is starting to leak but doesn't need to be replaced yet. They will check it when I have my next service appointment in 6 months! So when I talk to my son, who is a mechanic & he tells me that it should be replaced & not to wait 6 months & then I do my own research & find the same thing. I also find that it shouldn't even be bad yet! The car is only just 4 years old & only has 35,500 miles on it. The strut shouldn't need to be replaced yet. What the heck??

Thankfully my warranty will cover it but that's not the point. I want to know why they don't want to replace it & why it needs to be replaced. I'm going to call them & tell them to replace it, that I'm not waiting 6 months as I do drive 2 hours about every other month for appointments. Thanks for listening to me gripe. I would like to know if any other 2017 Rav4 owners have had issues with their struts.
