TT: The all new RAV4 Prime launched in mid-June 2020. An all new high voltage battery was introduced with this model and will require several new SSTs for diagnosis and repair. Some of these tools will be made available via the Toyota Loan Tool Program, while others will be distributed as Essential.
These tools will have limited availability at launch and as a result, an Interim Strategy has been developed to make them available to dealers. This Interim Strategy is listed below in the ?Recommendations? section.
Estimated timing for the essential tools to be distributed and the loan tools to be permanently available to dealers is September 2020*. An additional communication will be sent to announce when these tools become available.
*The GRX-5100 cable is estimated to be available in Q4 2020
