frame rusted out frame rusted out

My 01 Sequoia, which is in otherwise great condition, has a rusted frame that is structurally unsafe. A large rust hole has eaten away two of the four sides of the frame. Toyota had a "repair campaign" from 12/12 to sometime in 2014, but I received no notice of the recall. Toyota claims they mailed (4) notices. I find it very unlikely that the Postal Service would have lost all four letters.

I have owned 12 Toyota's over the years, but the lack of action by Toyota on a well known issue seems very wrong to me. My wife and my 3 children are all potential Toyota owners, but Toyota does not seem to care. I am now left with a vehicle that I would not be comfortable selling to anybody. Toyota has several options to make this right....but elected to do nothing. You would think they may compensate by a deal on a new Toyota....but they don't care.

Hey Toyota....Honda makes great cars too. Thanks for looking the other way.

Frame is rusted out. Toyota says they offered to fix it but only until last month. Feeling really burned by Toyota for not living up to their reputation. Have always bought Toyota, but not sure I will next time.
