Sienna LE 3.0L V6

Water continues to accumulate in driver seat carpeting. I vacuum with wet vac but can't get it all out. The moonroof drains have been cleaned numerous times, but this did not fix problem. Mechanic recommended having a windshield expert check for a leak. This only started happening after the van was no longer garaged and kept outside. The downside of this is occasionally the driver seat also gets wet and the smell is unpleasant.

the van was constantly wet inside. At one point i was parked on a hill so the passenger side of the vehicle was down hill and noticed water puddling by the passenger front door. I got a cup and scooped out about 8 cups of water, then waited and scooped out another 4 cups, then waited and scooped out another couple cups. the next day the water was back.

i asked everyone i spoke to about the possible cause. the dealership took the vehicle and did tests on it and finally realized the seal on the back lift door was not working (not sure if it was torn, worn, dry rotted, hardened?). the dealer pulled out all the carpet and luckily there wasn't any mildew, dried the vehicle and replaced the carpet - total charge was around $1k. while there i had other work done so the total bill was around $1700.

the wetness inside the vehicle started suddenly, it didn't get worse over time. the summer it started we didn't have much rain. (i live in alabama).

I have to put towels onto the driver seat every time it rains. If it's parked the driver's seat get soaked. If I'm driving it leaks water onto my head and shoulders and in the front center where the garage remote is. The interior carpet has gotten soaked and is forever wet and moldy. HELP HELP HELP
