For the last few years both sliding doors will get stuck from time to time, sometimes in the open position, sometimes in the closed. Its very dangerous not to be able to open the door or close it, especially with kids. It appears many others have had this issue, I'm curious if there is a fix for it.

From only a few months after purchasing the passenger sliding door would not open from the outside. Toyota said they lubricated and adjusted it and it was fine. It was fine for about 2 years, then it happened again. Again the adjusted and lubricated. Lasted about 2 years again. Then they said they had found out that the spring was not heavy enough. Took some arguing but they replaced the spring without charging me ($114.00). Three years later, same problem. Now they want $128.00 to remove the panel and check the cable. I told them it should be free because the lubed and adjusted me right out of my warranty period. they wouldn't do it. I'm going to try to email Toyota but I don't have much hope after reading other complaints.
