Last Wednesday morning another car rear ended my Sienna at high speed at stop sign while I was waiting for my turn to proceed. I was travelling with my family. Sienna got totaled due to this. Side doors, back door, back bumper, cargo and third row seat area all got impacted due to this and everything caved inward by few inches. My entire family has been shaken to the core and me and my wife are sufferings from severe pain in back and neck since the accident. The cabin was filled will white smoke (powdery stuff), but no air bags got deployed (opened) due to the impact. We are lucky that we all are still alive since we had been hit from the back at high speed. The car hitting us from the back must be travelling above 40 miles an hour since my fully loaded Sienna with 3 adults and a child skid forward by almost 8-10 feet. This is a serious concern that even after such a high impact collision, none of the air bag opened. The vehicle was stationary, on a highway at a stop sign (ridge rd and route 52 junction in kendall county, il). I have attached the police report and also the rear of my car. It rendered my car undrivable and I had to get it towed to the garage.
The airbag light on dash flashes on and off at start of engine and continues while car is running. After researching this problem I quickly found out this is a known issue with numerous complaints. I also understand that if airbag light is flashing that airbags are not going to deploy in event of frontal impact. I feel this is safty issue and the manufacturer should recall these vehicles.
My 2007 Toyota Sienna airbag light has been blinking off and on for about 1 year, because it would do it on an inconsistent basis, I didn't get it checked because it would go off and then come one again. Today at 81,000 miles I took my car to get serviced for an oil change, so I had them diagnose the airbag light and they told me I needed a whole new air bag system that would cost me over $1300 and I feel this is a safety issue and should be the responsibility of the manufacturer. The airbag system is not something a consumer have access to, to cause wear and tear. I've been driving my children around not realizing the whole system would need to be replaced. Should this be a recall because I am seeing several complaints in this model. And I am unsure how a recall is established but I feel this needs to be a recall.
I just bought a 2007 Toyota Sienna in March of 2018 it is in very good shape it only had 70,000 miles on it is why I bought it. But the dash lights keep coming on now the airbag light is on and the man said I needed a new air bag system. I'V only put about 7,000 miles on since I bought it. This is a safety issue this should not happen. Why is happening ? does anyone know about this issue or have any suggestions.

Air bag indicator comes on and off intermittently and appears to be corrected by moving loose wires under front seats. Wires look to have bad connection. Very unpredictable. This has been occuring since 59,000 miles for the past year. Can happen while vehicle is in motion or at rest. Toyota will not admit problem.
The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Sienna. While driving various speeds, the air bag warning indicator intermittently illuminated. The contact was concerned that the air bag might not deploy in the event of a crash. The vehicle was taken to walser Toyota (4401 american blvd w, bloomington, mn 55437 (612) 294-0291) where the contact was informed that a diagnostic and a repair fee would be charge. The vehicle was not repaired due to the diagnostic and repair fees. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 137,000.
Side impact collision by Chevy pickup on a city street. Vehicle was moving straight after stopping at a stop sign. Driver side completely damaged, but no airbag deployed, not even a single one.
The contact owned a 2007 Toyota Sienna. While driving 45 mph, the brake pedal was abruptly depressed but, did not stop the vehicle. As a result, the contact's vehicle skid and crashed into the rear of another vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. There were no injuries and a police report was filed. Air bag light on in the dash of my minivan.. the start like month ago but when off but know it's just flashing the light of the air bag please there something we can do to fix it... my miniva only have 86000 mills on it.. never been in crash scene so. I don't know what's happening...
The contact owned a 2007 Toyota Sienna. While driving at 35 mph, the contact lost consciousness and rear ended another vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed. The contact sustained injuries to the head, neck, right shoulder and back that required medical attention. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 105,000.
Front side airbag indicator turns on, then, it sometime off, sometime on. It continues like this way again and agin to today. Have it checked at Toyota dealer. They are not sure what's going on. Suggets replace the airbag.

The vehicle also caught on fire and was later deemed as destroyed. A police report was filed and no injuries were sustained. The manufacturer was not notified of failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.
SRS light flashes. The yellow connector under the passenger side seat is the culprit. There are hundreds of incidents on this on the auto forums. Many have commented that Toyota knows about the problem. Please investigate. This is a safety issue and Toyota should do a full safety recall to solve the problem. Thank you.
My vehicle's safety restraint ( airbag) light on the dash came on and I took it to the dealer for analysis. They told me the entire restraint system would have to be rewired at a cost of $4000. Without it, I have no airbags. This should be a recall item, not the responsibility of the car owner.
The airbag light comes on and stays on when the vehicle is turned on. If the vehicle is turned off then back on, sometimes the light turns off. Other times, moving the connectors under the front seats causes it to turn off.
Driver air bag light is flashing at any speed and when standing. I check online, there were 13 same reported cases. Some said there was recall on this problem, but I have never received notice of recall from Toyota. Please let me know. This is a safety issue!
