Summary: The subject vehicles are equipped with front passenger airbag inflators produced by takata. According to takata, the propellant in these inflators may degrade after prolonged exposure to high absolute humidity and fluctuating high temperatures. Degraded propellant can cause inflator rupture during airbag deployment. Safety risk: In the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, striking the vehicle occupants, and result in serious injury or death. Remedy: Toyota is currently preparing the remedy for this condition and will provide additional information as it becomes available. The remedy, when available, will consist of the replacement of the airbag inflator or the airbag assembly, depending on the vehicle model. Recall status: Recall incomplete. Remedy not yet available

Takata recall I got this notice in 2016 and still no airbag fix. This is our family car and I've been put out many times with only being able to fit the driver and 5 people in the back. Plus when my husband drives, I have to sit in the back. Getting tired of waiting knowing there is a fix to this problem.

Takata recall. I never received a recommendation notice. I only discovered it in the news. After numerous calls to local dealer, recall was confirmed. Only after I called Toyota help number did I learn that no one should ride in passenger seat and that I was authorized a loaner. I contacted local dealer and finally got a loaner. It has been three months and nothing from my local dealer. What's my next step?
