A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

My children and I have had respiratory problems since we started riding in this 2013 sienna, Purchased new Aug 2013.

I have complained repeatedly about the odor. We are currently going to arbitration with Toyotal National on 7/31/2014.

My 5 yr old daughter has had a constant runny nose (kids at school call her "walrus nose"). She is devastated, great way to spend Kindergarten year, the name calling was so bad she will be changing schools for 1st grade. My eyes get very watery and burn, my sinuses fill and my throat gets sore.

We discovered it was the Sienna making us sick this Spring. My Sienna was in for repairs for 3 days and I had a rental 2014 Sienna-respiratory problems and runny nose went away. Back in my Sienna 2 days symptoms all returned, Brought 2013 back for repair etc, again complaining about the odor.

They had it for 2 1/2 weeks, changed filters to charcoal, while we were enjoying the 2014 Sienna rental and were symptom free (I put 3000 miles on the rental my 2013 has almost 19,000) Sometimes I feel like I live in my car.

The repair people again they said no odor. We are now back in the 2013 Sienna and the odor is still an issue and all our symptoms have returned.

Yesterday I had representatives from Toyota (National) ride and test drive my car. I even told them when the odor was present, it smells like my old high school chem lab-rotten eggs/sulfur. The odor makes you gag, eyes water, scratchy throat, there is NO WAY THEY DID NOT SMELL IT!!

This is my second Sienna my 2008 has been passed down to my daughter and her Family.

We have currently 6 children- our 5 yr old daughter (Adopted), our 12 yr old granddaughter, a 4 yr old foster daughter, and 3 Foster sons 15,17 and 18. I love my Sienna, I need my Sienna, I rely on my Sienna, I chose SIENNA because I feel my children are safest in a SIENNA. Comfort for me, and my husband and my kids even in the 3rd row. BUT I HATE PUTTING MY CHILDREN IN A SIENNA THAT ENDANGERS THEIR HEALTH!!!! HELP HELP

Update from Jan 15, 2019: Hi just got info that there is a law suit about this - I have hundreds of pages of documentation on this problem we even went to arbitration with Toyota and they refused to even accept that the odor was present. we eventually got rid of the car at great expense to us in Dec 2015 I had the Sienna for just over 2 yrs and put over 5000 miles on rentals while it was in for repairs. If lawyers need this paperwork for their case they are welcome to it. Toyota needs to be held accountable for this - I am still paying off the loan on the 2013 Sienna - it was added to my current car loan. I have many photos from arbitration
