Took my 2013 Sienna in for routine service. We notified the mechanic that we noticed that the two front tires were bald and appeared to be prematurely worn. After having the van for a few hours we received a call from the service shop stating that we would need two new tires at a little over $500 and another $100 for a wheel alignment. Of course I went ballistic and told them that the van was barely 13 months old and only about 16,500 miles on it. How could Toyota sell a minivan with tires that wear so quickly.

After doing some research I see that the problem with the tires on the Sienna goes back for a few years. Toyota has done nothing to rectify this situation. They know that they are putting unsafe tires on a vehicle that is designed to transport children. The customer service agent was a jackass and only repeated that the problem was attributed to the harsh winter we had in Jersey. Really? My Ford Crown Vic and my wife's Chevy made it through the winter without having tire issues.

This is our first Toyota and I cannot wait until this lease is up. Toyota has lived up to its well earned reputation of not standing behind its product and for putting profit first before safety and customer satisfaction. I can t wait for the class action lawsuit. Who's onboard?
