10-year old daughter complained the seat belt was too tight. I pulled the sea tbelt toward the top thinking it would release only making it tighter for the child. The belt would wind up and wouldn’t release. Couldn’t find a knife so I opened the rear door and pulled on the cord that reclines the seat back to get the kid out.
I couldn’t reach the seat belt release because the child seat was pressing against it and wasn’t reachable.
I thought I was going to choke my own kid trying to release the faulty seat belt.
