Paint is so soft that a plastic garbage can rubbing against it will leave a scratch. My 2005 Chevy 1500 pickup is parked next to my Venza, the same garbage cans never even leave a mark on the pickup after 10 years. Seems GM knows paint huh! The biggest problem is if I ever want to trade the Venza, the scratches will mean a big ding in the trade in value..... I have tried to polish the scratches out, but no such luck! Other wise I have been very happy with the Venza, MPG is a little less than I expected, 20 to 21 MPG. Nearly all driving is around town, so I am OK with it.

for the cost of the car and the history of toyota hiding the truth (2009 recall fiasco) this is a huge problem. already had one recall and an issue with cam shaft cover. my nine year old honda never had an issue like this.

It appears that the same process that Toyota used in painting the Tundra has been used in painting the Venza. One purchases these vehicles because you hear that they're dependable, reliable and hold their value. Well there's not much value to a car whose paint chips relatively easy after a drive on the highway is there?
