I was driving when I suddenly noticed a reduction in power. The scanner said misfire in a cylinder so plugs and coils were swapped out.
Nothing was resolved so a compression test was done and it was found there was a leak in a cylinder. Further diagnosis discovered that there was a cracked valve spring and an intake valve that couldn't fully close.
In order to repair the whole engine needed to be removed and partially taken apart as the camshaft was right above the spring and needed to be removed. The total cost was $4200 cad.
