Unacceptable!!!! Clear coat peeling like this is NOT normal wear under any circumstances! Toyota lost a lot of my future interest on this one!! Very poor business not making this right!!

Started as a small section of the roof and hood and has now spread to the entire roof and most of the hood. It looks TERRIBLE. Everything else with the car is great and I love my Yaris besides this. I am so disappointed in Toyota right now because of the clear coat peeling off. I never expected that this would be a problem.

I am heart broken. I have loved this car - both inside and out. I chose the color for its beautifully brilliant blue. I was always telling everyone how wonderful this car is. Now, after only 5 years, it is peeling starting with the roof and quickly working its way all the way down. I will now be driving around in a beat up looking car and I feel very betrayed by Toyota. When I called the original dealer, they told me if I hadn't bought the "Treatment" program, which meant I brought it in every year - it was only guaranteed for 3 years. What car company would only guarantee their paint job for 3 years? I never would've even considered purchasing a car that had such low integrity. I brought it to my present local dealer, they said they had never seen such a thing, they took pictures, had me get a quote and tried to make a case with headquarters - it was rejected, "over 100,000 miles". they told me to then request a case number myself. I tried and headquarters just gave me the dealers case number and again it was rejected for the mileage. Nobody at headquarters would even talk to me and acknowledge that paint peeling after 5 years was a problem. What does mileage have to do with paint anyways? The blue paint job seems to be a pattern - what can we do collectively?
