clear coat is peeling

The clear coat on my Toyota Yaris has been peeling off, and there is apparently nothing I can do to stop it. It is especially annoying because I just paid it off, and very quickly my car went from perfectly normal to looking like a POS. The dealership said they've never seen that problem and shrugged, then quoted me a crazy amount to repaint. So, basically, the best fix is to get rid of this car.

This is quickly becoming a pm ugly and expensive problem. This is a relatively new car and not a lot of miles and I am told repair is $1,500. I have seen many others online with this same problem with this car..

The clear coat is peeling from the top to bottom. We ask the dealer about it and was told they could not do anything. We ask when the Toyota rep. was coming by next time and again they brushed us off. We will never buy a Toyota again!!!!!!!

The clear coat on my car is peeling at a rapid pace. The areas on the hood that have peeled are also rusting. The hood and entire roof of the car is peeling. I am extremely disappointed that Toyota isn't offering to assist their customers with this problem. Without a resolution from Toyota which would consist of a free paint job, I will never, ever purchase another Toyota. I took my car to the dealership and the estimate to fix the problem is $2900.00. Seriously!

I HAVE HAD MY CAR FOR ONLY 4 1/2 YEARS AND IT LOOKS LIKE IT WENT THROUGH TIME TO THE FUTURE. IT LOOKS HORRENDOUS BECAUSE OF THE CLEAR COAT THAT IS COMING OFF.

I HAVE TAKEN GREAT CARE OF MY CAR. I WASHED AND WAXED IT AND STILL THIS HAS HAPPENED. I HAVE SEEN MANY TOYOTA YARIS CARS WITH THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM, WHICH MAKES THIS MORE THAN JUST MY PERSONAL PROBLEM. THIS IS UNFAIR TO THE BUYERS WITH THE POOR PAINT CONDITION. ALMOST ALL THE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE PAINT SAYS THEIR CAR IS ABOUT 4 TO 5 YEARS OLD, WHICH THE STANDARD WARRANTY IS NOT APPLICABLE ANYMORE. THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH TOYOTA AND NOT THEIR CUSTOMERS. MY FATHER IS A PAINT EXPERT ON CARS AND AGREES THAT THIS IS A FACTORY PROBLEM.

PLEASE DON'T MAKE YOUR CUSTOMERS SUFFER FOR YOUR MISTAKES. BE LOYAL AND HELP US ALL OUT.
