The vehicle was inspected by a mechanic that stated there was a recall for the air bags under NHTSA campaign id number: 10V008000 (air bags:frontal:sensor/control module). The contact was advised by an authorized dealer that the vehicle was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 71,259. Updated 01/03/11

The dealer and the manufacturer both informed the contact about recall 10V008000 (air bags: Frontal: Sensor/control module) but stated that his vehicle was not included although he was experiencing the same failure. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000. The current mileage was approximately 100,000.

The dealer stated that the manufacturer only supplied the dealerships with one air bag sensor every fourteen days. The contact was concerned that the part was unavailable. The failure mileage was approximately 33,000.
