The sliding door problem has been intermittent from the time I purchased the vehicle to the present. I got sick and tired of taking the car to the dealership because they could never duplicated the problem. The last time I took the vehicle to the dealership, they told me that it would not be fixed under the 100,000 extended warranty that I paid for because the mileage exceeded 100,000 miles. I told the serviice technician that I had brought the vehicle prior to the warranty expiration for this problem and was told that it could not be fixed under the expired warranty.
They did say that they would fix the problem by replacing all of the sliding door controls for $6,300+ dollars.
PS I have a mileage record of all of the times the doors did not operate properly and am going to cite that record in a complaint letter to the Chrysler Zone Office and the dealership. If I would have brought my vehicle in every time the doors did not operate, I would have driven the service department crazy, which is probably what I should have done.
