Started vehicle and it would not shift out of park. Had to override the shift lock and took it to a mechanic. They ran a computer diagnoses. Found multiple codes in multiple modules. Several of the codes that came back were related to the brake light switch. Brake Light Switch replaced and codes cleared. Re-ran diagnosis and was still showing multiple codes including the brake light switch. It was then discovered that there was a 3 AMP draw running the battery down. This was new!! It never had this issue with me. It was traced back to the TIPM. The TIPM was replaced and programmed. Errors were still showing. Found wiring issues to the TIPM Module that needed replaced. $2500 later the car is working better! But I think I might have been taken on a ride!
