My engine light stays on constantly. I had autozone check the light, every time its for a gas cap issue. I don't feel like i need to replace a gas cap for 30.00+. It does worry me because what if something legit happens where the light comes on but I'm not aware because of the false light from the gas cap? SO I TAKE IT TO get checked out once every couple of months... but still nothing yet.

I have had this car for 5 years.

Year 3 had to replace the Alternator - $600.00

Year 4 - TIPM replaced - $1500 .00 - This should be a RECALL - all kinds of data on this problem which is related to my alternator going bad too!

Year 5: Engine is misfiring - 2 cylinders are bad. WOW!!! Who knows

These cars are BAD NEWS!

The engine light came on, so I took it to the Chrysler dealer. The evaporation sensor was replaced. 3 days later light came on again. I took the car back and was told the gas cap needed replacing, so I replaced it. The next day the engine light was back on as well as the gas cap alert light. This time I took it to a different dealer, and they ran it on the computer and no problems showed up. They did a smoke test and no leaks showed up. The gas cap was snug. The 2 lights are still on and it is very distracting when driving at night. Nobody knows what is wrong and lights cannot be shut off so far.
