The contact stated that after she entered the vehicle through the front passenger-€™s side, the front passenger-€™s side air bag inadvertently deployed without warning. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 97,841.
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler Town and Country. The contact stated while walking towards the vehicle, the contact became aware that the driver-€™s side headrest had deployed and was detached from the seat. The contact stated that there was no impact to the vehicle to cause the headrest to deploy. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 183,000.
On 7/17/2019 while traveling down a local highway the driver side headrest exploded hitting me in the back of the neck. Pulled off road immediately. Proceeded to the dealership of purchase. Licensed Chrysler service person attempted to re-set. Determined headrest was broken and they would order new. Did not tell us there is a class action suit in the process regarding these headrests.thankfully no serious injury, other than a headache and dizzy which lasted about 3 hours. Was informed item is back ordered and no idea when it will be available. Maybe next year. We travel to fl in the fall and need this safety feature in operation for this trip. We obtained a pre-work order and was told it means nothing since no work has been ordered. Service tech did not know if headrest was faulty or not. He said a speed bump can dislodge it or even a pot hole. Really?? please help us.
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler Town and country. The contact stated that the front passenger side active headrest restraint indicator illuminated and made a dinging sound. The headrest later came apart. The vehicle was taken to big O Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram (2645 laurens rd, greenville, SC 29607, 864-288-5000) where it was diagnosed that the front passenger active headrest needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
While riding in the passenger seat of my vehicle the ' headrest restraint system' inappropriately out of nowhere deployed while the vehicle was moving but was never in an accident. The headrest forcefully hit me in the neck and back of the head.
