I have now had to replace four of the spark plugs and coil overs.

The problem is that moisture is getting into those areas and fouling up everything.

These are expensive repairs.

I drive 50,000 miles a year and I have wore out many vehicles but I have never had to replace an engine . I ma very disgusted with Ford and the fact that I have a $42,000 piece of junk.

On 3/15/08, my SUV began running very roughly and the engine light began flashing. I took it to a local but respected garage and they could not figure out what was wrong with it. I then took it to the dealer and their diagnosis was the engine needed to be replaced. The SUV has 39,000 miles. It is out of warranty, but how can a $40,000 car blow the engine at 39,000 miles? The dealer can not tell me what caused the damage. I have done regular maintenance on the vehicle at the correct intervals. The estimate was for $7900 but the dealer offered to take $3000 off the price and they have been very understanding. I want Ford to pay for the rest. This is not a normal issue but a catastrophic failure. If the roof on your house collapsed, don't you think you could sue the builder and be reimbursed even though the warranty was up. I am hoping Ford will see it my way but I am not very optimistic. Any suggestions on how to deal with this issue are welcome.
