For about 8 months I have been suffering from dizziness spells that happen quite often, nausea, headaches, blurred vision, and anxiety that is brought on from these symptoms. I have been to the doctor countless times attempting to figure out the problem of the cause of my sickness. Before I followed up on the recall I wasn't aware that my car was being recalled for carbon monoxide concerns. But it all makes sense the majority of time I feel these symptoms is either when I'm driving or have finished driving. (next dr's visit I will request they do lab work for potential carbon monoxide poisoning.) of course all the symptoms linger because obviously it stays in my system. I feel like my car is making me really sick. I am afraid to drive my car that I have had for 2 years.

I was driving on the interstate and both pieces of the windshield trim flew off within 10 minutes of one another. Luckily one was partly detached and I was able to keep it from flying and hitting another vehicle, but the other one flew off. Luckily, it did not hit another vehicle, but easily could have hit a vehicle behind or beside us.

The A-pillar exterior molding fell off. This was the second time such a part falling off. This time it was the driver side. The first time was a year ago on the passenger side. The A-pillar exterior molding fell of on the freeway at high speed. The car was essentially a high-speed road hazard to public safety, because the pointed hard plastic molding became a projectile that can seriously hurt some car or people behind.

I am writing to you in regards to physical illness that I have suffered as well as my passengers from my 2014 Ford Explorer police interceptor package. Starting back when I first purchased the vehicle at approximately 59,000 miles, I have experienced an exhaust odor in the cabin shortly after accelerating over 3,000rpms. This issue has been investigated at my local dealership twice, with the technician confirming the smell. After this work was performed, I still to this day am suffering from exhaust fumes and physical illness directly related to my Ford Explorer. All repair orders from involved Ford dealerships are in my possession confirming exhaust fumes are still entering the cabin. From the time I took ownership in October 2016, I have experienced physical illness when driving the vehicle for more than 1 hour at a time. I get extremely lightheaded and nauseated, which has caused me to frequently stop the vehicle and vomit. My passengers in the vehicle have also experienced similar symptoms when riding in the vehicle. When this happens, I stop at a safe location and remove myself to fresh air, and the symptoms soon pass and I am able to drive again. Recently, I have traveled from Massachusetts to Vermont in my Explorer. The mostly highway driving trip it was me as well as my girlfriend. After around an hour of driving at 60mph, my girlfriend and I were feeling very dizzy and became nauseated, so I opted to stop and relax at a rest stop for fresh air prior to continuing my trip to Vermont. I have installed a carbon monoxide detector in my vehicle, which has activated more than one occasion while driving. At this time I am negotiating with Ford's office of general counsel to perform a buyback of my Explorer and replace it with a different vehicle.

Vehicle has 40K miles on it. Strange vibration coming from passenger side. All of the sudden the window molding/trim from the windshield files off! causing motor vehicles behind us to swerve! got out and checked, sure enough the drivers side molding is loose to. This could be a huge safety issue. Had it repaired, guy at the dealer told us it was a known problem. Was doing approx 75 mph on I 75. It was very scary

The electronic power steering rack has failed on our vehicle. This I have seen is a problem Ford has had in the past and has still not remedied the problem. The out of pocket costs are $2500. The steering is unsafe and is allover the road. Further to this the power seat motor failed and they want $2500 to repair it. This I feel is very unfair and gouging.

Our '14 Explorer has consistently allowed exhaust gas to enter the passenger compartment upon 1/2 to full throttle acceleration. Still under warranty, the dealership said they would fix it for about $800! they said it was coming from exhaust entering the rear ac. Ac on or off makes no difference.

The driver side windshield trim flew off my vehicle while I was driving on the highway at approximately 70mph. This is the second trim piece that has ripped off my vehicle while driving. The passenger side blew off about a year ago when I was driving on the highway. I am worried that a large piece of plastic flying off my car at high speeds may hit another vehicle on the road and cause and accident or injure someone. I googled "Ford Explorer windshield trim problems" and there is a lot of complaints online. The dealership wants to charge me $290 to fix it but I feel like this problem is dangerous and is not something that should occur with normal wear and tear on the vehicle. Attached are photos of my car and the Ford estimate so you can see the parts numbers. Thank you for your help.

Passenger side windshield trim peeling back and separating from the windshield, heavy vibration noise occurs at speeds over 15 mph, at 65 it is deafening. No accident, no rough travel, this is a soccer mom car, that goes to school, supermarket and home. No rough history of washes. Driving on the highway going about 65 miles per hour, passenger windshield side panel flew off the my 2014 Ford Explorer truck that could have caused damages to other vehicles behind me or even an accident. I just bought the vehicle from a dealership about 2 months ago. I notified the dealership and was told the part is not under extended warranty and I would have to pay over $200 to get the panel replaced.

Driver's side window trim molding has come loose twice. This is a common problem with newer model Ford Explorer. Cost $200 to repair and not covered under extended warranty. Mine came loose while driving fortunately, other's have flown right off the trucks causing a safety issue for other vehicles behind the truck.

The passenger side windshield trim pillar flew off while on expressway. I could dealership, although they are aware of replacing the steel frame and trim it isnt covered under my warranty and not enough complaint for a recall. This part flew off, I could of hit a motorcyclist or another car windshield or could of caused an accident. It scared me just as it hit my windshield and flew off, not to mention rubber molding was flapping around. I drive 25 mi back and forth 5 days a week to my employment, I find it very hard to believe that this isnt considered a defect, when the service department is admiting that both panels need to be replaced with improved frame and trim please help me, cost is over $285 and Ford is not offering any sort of help. The cs rep were not professional either, refused to let me speak to a supervisor and when one came on she was also very unprofessional. I like to write down names and id # and she refused to provide last name and just chuckled before saying didnt matter how many times I called my case was closed.

I was driving down the road at 60 mph when window trim on right side flew off. A simple google search reveals that this is a chronic & recurring defect, one that is very dangerous to other drivers and pedestrians as well. I have already had to replace the left side trim at a cost of over $200. Ford dealership refused to cover repair
