Ford Explorer 2016 still under Ford warranty. A lease from a dealer in Brossard, Quebec, Canada. Occasionally, even when the lock indicator (black pin positioned inside) indicates that the door is closed and secured the passenger door can be opened by anyone, without the keys nearby the vehicle. i.e. keys are more than 50 meters far from the car. The alarm system is working as seen in the video attached for few minutes. The dealer did a re-programming on the vehicle but the problem persists.

Despite sending 8 videos proving the problem, the dealer wants to have the car to do some tests! They are refusing to give me an equivalent car as replacement during this period of tests. They proposed to pay only 20$ CAD and I pay the remaining which I refused. I will write to Ford regarding this unacceptable issue. I pay around 1000$ per month for the lease and they want me to pay extra money to have a temporary car from the same category while they investigate the problem!! It has been 3 weeks the the dealer is meeting the expectations when it comes to customer relations.

I just called them they asked me to use the 2nd key instead of the 1st key for few days to see if the problem persist.

All videos were sent to the dealer and I will be able to provide them to Ford immediately.

Update from Nov 29, 2017: After weeks of discussion with the dealer. The dealer finally fixed the problem in 2 days after complaining on Twitter. A small latch lock was replaced and now the door could be secured and nobody can open it without the keys. Unfortunately Ford Canada did not help me at all at getting a courtesy car during the repair. ALL other manufacturers offer a courtesy car for free during any repair exceeding 1 day.

The dealer did some effort paid ONLY 20$ for the car rental and I had to pay 45$ from my wallet in order get a ford flex for 2 days !! ( I needed the 7 seats for me, my wife and 4 kids)

Despite paying 1000$/month for the lease, Ford Canada did not offer any compensation or participation in the car rental charges reflecting poor attitude toward clients. Bad experience.

As a ford owner for almost 2 years now previous customer with Honda, GMC, VW and Toyota, I confirm to you that Ford has the poorest after sale service during the manufacturer warranty period.
