Accord 25th Anniversary 2.2L 4 cyl
1996 25th Anniversary Edition 2.2L 4Cyl. 65000 miles. Perfect car overall. Transmission slips when accelerating from rolling stop. Downshifting into 1st gear problem. When coming to a complete stop and then accelerating, this slippage does not occur. A friend with the LX model has the same issue but not as severe. Appears to be a transmission problem for this year of Accords. Maybe the V6 version is different? I was told to get the transmission checked and serviced. For the low miles on this car, this problem does not make sense at all. There are no leaks. I would expect this problem on a Ford not a Honda. Fantastic fuel economy for this type of car, great ride. Transmission problems.......BEWARE!!!!
