Accord LX 4 cyl

Air doesn't come on when i start the car but if i hit under the dash on the passenger side it cuts on, i have gotten good at it though i just keep a hammer in the floor board and tap it everytime i get in to cut on the air i think it could just be the fan or a loose connection anyone have any ideas?
