Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Consumer complaint about beads breaking in tires. Consumer states it has happened twice and she hasn't received her refund for the first tire. The consumer stated on Feb 5, 2011, she purchased four tires from the dealer. On June 3, 2011 one of the tires went flat. As the consumer was driving, she heard a pop sound then air releasing. The repair shop informed the consumer bead popping may have occurred when the tire was installed. On August 2, 2011, the consumer heard the same noise again and discovered another tire was flat. The consumer was informed again that the tire bead was broken. Updated 08/23/11.
