CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2011 Honda Accord has a solid reputation (so far), with one very significant flaw: uncomfortable seats.

Owners have consistently reported uncomfortable seats with the entire 8th generation (2008-2012) of Honda Accords. Complaints range from back pain to leg circulation problems due to bad lumbar support, cushioning, & seat angle. Complaints aren't limited to only a certain body type -- the seat comfort problems are from a wide spectrum of owner height & weight.

The common theme we hear is "never noticed this during the test drive." Unfortunately for unwary buyers, the seat pain is noticeable after 15-20 minutes.

Door will not automatically unlock. Have to manually unlock from inside the vehicle. This actuator was replaced 1 year and 2 weeks ago. 2 weeks past the repair warranty. I will not be replacing it again. I have had 4 actuator failures in just over a year.

Recently, I found that my passenger side door would not unlock when I pressed the unlock button on my remote twice. I found this was strange, as the driver's side did open. When I attempted to unlock it using the driver's side control, it still did not open. It locked every time, but it would not unlock. This was annoying, but I could live with it. Then the driver's side refused to unlock whenever I unlock it with the remote. Not even the driver's side door control can unlock it. This started approximately a month after the passenger side. It will lock consistently though. No difficulty in locking it yet. But even in the car, when you put the vehicle in park, all you hear when the door locks try to unlock is a loud "squeeeeeaaak". Same with unlocking via remote. I now am forced to use the key in lock to open the door. This is annoying, but livable. I believe it might be the power lock door actuators. If very expensive, I will put off for a while. While I don't enjoy not having power un-locks, it's a hell of a lot better than having the engine and transmission die in something like a GM.
