The Driver’s Seat in my 2011 Accord LX is terrible. Like so many other posters on this site, I just thought the seat was mildly hard on my test drive and after break-in the car would be fine. I have a base model Accord, so I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect not to be in pain every time I drive this car more than 15 minutes. I am 6 foot 3” and 250lbs so that may have a little to do with it, but the stabbing pain in my lower back is awful. I think the issue is poor seat quality and the angle of seat. On the LX, there is no adjustment for seat angle. I have contacted Honda Customer service to advised them that I love the car but hate the front seat. They gave me a case number and told me contact the dealer. The dealer in going to look at it to see if the seat is defective. Somehow, I think all of the seats are defective in these cars and the dealer will tell me the car is just fine. We shall see. Like others have said… when people ask me.. “How do you like your Honda?” I tell them “I hate it. This car is the most uncomfortable turd I have ever driven and it was the biggest mistake I have ever made in my life”. I had a 2006 Ridgeline and it was decently comfortable. I traded it in for fuel economy of the Accord as I drive a lot for business. The Accord is a fine car if you can get past the agony of driving it. I call it the IRON MAIDEN.
I will update with future findings. If they can do nothing, I will start with modifications. I have already tried removing the plastic lumbar, stuffing memory foam padding in front of the lumber, various seat cushions, pillows. Hell… I even loaded the inside of the seat down with pillow stuffing and still the thing is terrible. I suspect in my case, it’s an uncomfortable seat with a poor angle. After the warranty expires, I may experiment with lifting the back of seat with washers where the seat bolts in. Like the rest of yo, I am upside down about 7500+, so trading it in would be stupid, but I may do it any way. The newer Buicks really might do the trick for me. Every day I drive this torture device, I dream about trading it in on anything. But I think I am stuck with this Japanese torture instrument for a long time so any advice on seat modifications would be greatly appreciated. Honda has a real problem here. Please call Honda and get a case going… 800-999-1009 – They will never address this unless people say something. I waited almost a year but now I am ready to raise to hell. At least, other people can be aware so they don’t make the same mistake I did.

Purchased 2011 Honda Accord as a Demo in late August and had no complaints upon test drive. Upon daily usage I noticed that my back and legs were uncomfortable after short drives; worse on longer drives. I had attempted adjusting the seats /lumbar but had no improvement. The headrest also pushes so far forward that I had to raise it to the highest setting so I am not using it at all. About 3 months ago I began to have shooting pain constantly down my left side and leg. This caused me to have to consult a chiropracter and have been diagnosed with sciatica. She advised me that I have a disc that has been shifted and aggrivating the nerve. Others who have had these complaints have been told by the dealership that the design of the seats is the government's safety requirements. I have recently switched vehicles with my husband and I think I am seeing some improvement in the pain. I would like to think that we can keep this vehicle but short of removing the front seats & replacing them completely. Honda's reputation for longevity was our reason we made this purchase...just not so sure I can live thru this car. Very disappointing.

I bought this car to take over daily driving duties from a 96 Accord back in October of 2010. Like many others have previously posted, the test drive didn't reveal the problems with the seat. Once I started making my daily commute in the car however, the back and leg problems began to appear. I tried making all of the adjustments to find a comfortable seating position, but with this seat there is no comfortable seating position. Luckily I didn't trade in my old Accord. So I gave up on driving this new car and have been driving my old Accord problem free.
I have written to Honda Customer Service several times about the unbearable seats. They have called to say that they are sorry that I am disappointed with the car and that they will pass on my comments for consideration in the future. They do not seem to care that the car is of no value because I cannot drive it without pain.
After 14 months of ownership with no hint of a resolution coming from Honda, I have decided I will be selling this car. My loyalty to Honda and the hope that they would stand behind their product was the reason I have kept this car for so long. After this debacle I will never buy another Honda again.

I have owned 12 Hondas. Am a H man through and through. Then I get this Accord with leather seats and I'm seeing a chiropractor twice a week. After my 20 min commute I literally am in so much pain I have to roll out of the car and hobble to my office. I have swapped cars with my wife (2009 Subaru Outback) to test if it's truly the Accord seats and it was confirmed. The issue is that the bucket part of the seat is too low into the frame and your lower spine is placed into a very awkward curve. This is just a very poor design. I am 6"2 250 lbs. I'll be trading this car in asap. I'll probably buy a non-Honda SUV for this reason.

Bought this car used with 1900 miles on it, it's a nice car, so couldn't understand why someone would trade it with less than 2000 miles on it! Now I know! Driving it less than 20 miles and my back hurts, can't get comfortable in the seat, feels like the lumbar (which is turned OFF) is too high on my back and the pressure is causing pain. Tried to return to the dealer, but NO way they are taking it back. So one week later, I am waiting for a VW Passat to hit the lot so I can trade this car and lose my butt. The sad thing is I have had So many people that Honda is the best, but I have never owned one. This is my FIRST Honda AND my LAST Honda!! It drives great if you didn't have to sit in it.

The front seats of the 2011 Honda Accord are very uncomfortable. We previously owned or leased two 2006 Accords, a 2008 Accord and a 2009 Accord. We experienced no problem with the seats in the previous models. The problem became so significant in the case of the 2011 Accord that one of us required medical attention to resolve severe backache. Although the Accord EX is equipped with power seats and lumbar adjustment, no suitable position could be found to alleviate back pain for both my wife or myself. We purchased a 2011 Honda Civic as a second vehicle and found that the seats were much more comfortable than those in the 2011 Accord. We returned to our Honda dealer and complained vehemently about the seats in the 2011 Accord. Our repeat customer status, and our assertive complaint resulted in obtaining a suitable trade in arrangement on a 2012 Honda Civic. We have driven the 2011 Civic for 3000 miles and the 2012 Civic for 1000 miles and we do not feel the discomfort that we experienced in the 2011 Accord. At no point in our discussion with the dealer did we note any admission that the complaint was one that they heard before.

I just purchased my new 2011 Honda Accord EX Manual Transmission car on 8/12. I'm very satisfied with the car except for two things. The front seats are very hard (already submitted a complaint for this) and the headrest is at a severe angle that forces my head forward with my chin down. I normally sit with my back against the back rest with the back rest at a fairly upright position. In my other cars (1994 Saturn SL2 and 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe), this was not a problem. With the 2011 Honda Accord my neck gets stiff after about 30 minutes. There is no adjustment allowed on the headrest and the only relief is to set the back rest to a reclined position and sit upright with my back away from the back rest. I know other 2011 Accord owners are complaining about this problem but no response has been made from Honda. I've complained to my dealership about this problem but they have no solution. I need Honda to respond by providing a replacement headrest with a less angle of incline and/or a headrest that allows for adjustment to other angles.

The driver seat and head rest are extremely uncomfortable. I have put a seat cushion on the seat but it does not help. The center of the back of the seat is so concave it makes the chest sink in and the extreme tilt of the head rest puts the neck and spinal cord at a painful angle. The seat might work if you are 6 feet and weigh 200 lbs but for a 5'2", 116 lb person. this seat causes extreme pain even after driving even for only a half hour.

I love Honda's. My current Accord is the 4th I've leased since 2002. When the car hit 1,000 miles the springs in the bottom seat cushion started to feel like they were pushing up through the seat. The longer I was in the car the worse it got. It actually became painful to drive. Searching on the internet, I saw that I was not alone. Many complained of the same problem and were told by their dealer that the seats were within specifications and no problem could be found. Sadly, my dealer told me the same, although they made an "adjustment" to the problem that didn't exist and reduced the seat from painful to just really uncomfortable. I'm 6'3". If you sit into the back of the seat you will regret purchasing this vehicle. Honda is in denial about the issue and won't stand behind their product.

I bought a honda accord coupe exl in feb. I noticed the seats were not real comfortable when I got it, but i thought I just didnt have the seat adjusted correctly, but the longer I drive this car the more I hate it due to the drivers seat, hurting your legs and back.. U can drive it for about a distance of an hour 1/2 and you have to stop and get out.. I previously had a 2003 honda accord and it was the best riding car I ever owned.. But honda has done a crappy job with the new ones...
I AM SO DISSAPOINTED... I do hope that honda stands behind there cars and fixes this, if not I will never buy or recommend honda to anyone else..

This is the first and last Honda I will ever purchase. When I test drove the car the problem did not show up until the next day. The car was delivered to my house so I only drove it around the neighborhood.
I commute about 40 miles each way. On my morning drive in I notice some discomfort with seat, so I tried adjusting thinking that was the issue it was not. On my afternoon drive home I had driven about 30 miles and started to notice my legs going to sleep and and pain shooting up my back. I readjusted the seat and moved around until it felt somewhat better. A few days go by and could not get comfortable in the car I was driving home and I started having pain shoot down my up my back and down my arms. I was thinking I was having a stroke or heart attack. I made it home and got out of the car and the pain stopped. Must have been pinching a nerve or something not sure.
I have take car to dealer and get the typical we have never had anyone else complain about the seats. I asked if they made a different seat and I was told no. I have tried trading it in and of course I owe more than it is worth. I see why because the car is pretty much worthless.

Love the car and the ride but hate the seats. This is our third accord '03 Sedan, '08 coupe and both cars had relatively comfortable seats especially '03. Decided to go back to a sedan for practical purposes. Didn't really notice the drivers seat discomfort during the test drive only that the seats were much firmer than "08 coupe. After picking the car up and driving for about 45 minutes I began feeling pressure on my back and spine and began trying seat adjustments to no avail. It seems that the backrest on the drivers contours out to a point which makes relaxing impossible. Became extremely upset and wished I had never signed on the bottom line.
I have read several complaints about the same problem. I haven't contacted the dealer yet but have a feeling that will be frugal. The reviews by CR and Car and Driver had no mention of this at all. I don't understand how Honda could put such a product on the market and then expect people to remain loyal to the brand. I'm hoping there will eventually be a bulletin for a fix or recall. Luckily my wife drives the car and thinks it's fine, but I purchased it with the intention of taking a few road trips. Think that won't happen now. I am even thinking of taking a loss and unloading it. The seat on my lawn tractor gives me less discomfort. I will definitely think twice before buying another Honda.

I was extremely happy to purchase my new 2011 Honda Accord EX. Especially since I prefer MANUAL transmission sedans. There are very few manufacturers making these anymore especially in other than base models. I test drove my car 3 separate times, once taking it out for 20 minutes. I thought I got everything I wanted for a great price and was excited about my new car. On my first long trip (2 hours round trip) to my parents house, I noticed the seats felt hard and my back was fatigued after the hour long trip to get there. After arriving home, I realized my back was again very fatigued and my neck was aching. My wife and I both realized this could be a problem with this car.
On my first search to find replacement headrests for this car, I found this site. BOY, I wish I had found this site last week! I've only had the car for about 5 days and I'm considering taking it back. It only has 240 miles on it so far.
I'm both excited and disappointed to find that many others are complaining about the same problem on the 2011 Honda Accord. I really hope there is a resolution to this soon because I can't see myself driving this car for 150,000 miles with this issue.

After much deliberation.....leased a 2011 Accord....with the thought of buying it out at the end of the lease and keeping for a very long time. Within the first week I called and asked Honda if I could return it and pay some type of penalty. Of course....NO.
The seat is so uncomfortable I rent a vehicle when I want to take any length of road trip. I can't believe this level of comfort/discomfort suits most people. When anyone asks how I like my new Honda......I say I hate it....but thanks for asking.

The front seats in my 2011 Honda Accord LX-P give me leg cramps and lower back pain. The seat bottom is very hard and unforgiving, and the lumbar support is too pronounced.
I test drove the car for 15-20 mins. and did not notice this. I was more focused on power, handling, visibility, etc. The last thing I was thinking about was seat comfort. But I sure noticed it on my 30+ min. commute to work the first time.
I've tried numerous seat adjustments and seat cushions to no avail. I'm 6'2" 170 lbs. so I don't consider myself an abnormally sized person. I actually considered trading in the car after a few weeks for a substantial loss.
My only saving grace is that my petite (5'2") wife seems to have no complaints with the front seats. So instead of the car being my daily driver it's now hers. I really hope Honda does something to address these uncomfortable front seats.

The day after purchasing what I thought was a wonderful, comfortable, reliable car--PAIN!
Lower back, hip, leg, and foot.
The dealership said the seat would "break in" and I would get used to it. Hard plastic on the inside of the seat doesn't break in, and the entire design of the seat just doesn't work for me.
Removing the lumbar support and creative use of pillows and towels seem to be helping. I seriously considered trying to trade it and lose a lot of money. Hopefully, I will not have to do this. Today, the biggest problem is the tingling right foot--creative use of cruise control helps.

Bought a 2011 Accord. Test drive didn't show any problems with seating. Drove the car to LAX and back to San Diego twice that week. Severe back pain. Dealer didn't want to take the car back. Service department at the dealership told me they had never heard of this problem before.
Contacted service people at Honda Corporate on the 19 of June. No one ever followed up about the problem.
Wrote a letter to a CEO of the company Mr. Iwamura. Had case number assigned to me. Honda promised a 48-hour response from the corporate.
The result of my journey with the first honda in my life is the following: a) lost sales tax, b) SEVERE back pain; 3) loss of the value of the car during tread in.
This was the shortest car ownership in my life - lasted 6 days. I had to sell it at a loss to get something different.
Word of caution to those over 5.9'. Test drive for a prolonged period of time. If any signs of discomfort - go away from the Honda lot or you will be in the same situation as I am.

I find the drivers seat to be fine for my short commute to work, but for any long trips it becomes unbearably uncomfortable and I have to stop every 1-2 hours to stretch out my back. I made every possible adjustment to the seat with no improvement. I called my Honda dealership and they said there's no solution; they won't change out the seat for anything more comfortable because it will void the warranty and make it more dangerous to drive (there are airbags in the seat itself). They can't even put a cushion over the seat because then the seat's airbags cannot properly deploy in a crash. Unfortunately there seems to be no solution. I will use a different car for long trips from now on. Despite the fact that it runs perfectly, I do not think I will ever purchase a Honda again because of this problem.

Bought a new 2011 Honda Accord. I commute 3 hrs. a day. First time I drove it the seat was so hard I developed a serious pain in my buttocks. I've own the car for only 3 weeks and the pain has increased to such an extent I can barely tolerate sitting in my car the pain is excruciating. Not only do I feel pain when I'm in the car, but it's become a problem when I'm not in the car. I have never experienced this kind of pain with a car seat in my life. It is a serious problem. So much so that I can not longer keep the car. I've been exploring other solutions, but I'm learning that this is not an easy problem to fix. Honda needs to take notice and consider this as a serious health problem. My 2004 Honda seats were so comfortable. I would not recommend the Honda Accord until they fix seat problem.

I have have previously purchased (2) Toyota Camry's & (1) Avalon. I had also owned a 1990 Accord. After trying to decide between a 2011 Camry or the 2011 Accord I chose the Accord because of what appeared to be a much better "fit & finish" than the Camry.I have always held both Honda and Toyota in high esteem, The 2011 Accord is an exceptionally well manufactured car with the exception of the front driver and passenger seats. The seats are so stiff and uncomfortable they make it impossible to drive this car for any length of time. I had planned on keeping this car for many years but I may not be able to unless Honda offers some type of help. I ask you Honda to please do the noble thing and offer replacement seats or some other resolution.Again this is a good looking great running vehicle but the seats render it almost useless. I am positive a repair by Honda would cost far less than the lost sales generated by negative word of mouth.

Have just purchased an '11 Accord coupe and took my first road trip with the vehicle. Was very disappointed with the level of discomfort during the three hour drive due to the seat. I keep reading other comments regarding the lower lumbar supports but in my case this is not the issue as my back was fine. Basically the damn seat is very uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time and I was relieved to sit on a comfortable seat at a restaurant on a meal break. Adjusting the seat back angle provided temporary relief but eventually I found myself squirming in discomfort within a few miles. Another issue I noticed which I haven't seen anyone else comment on yet was my lower leg and foot became fatigued after a time pressing the gas pedal. Not sure if the angle of the seat bottom is mispositioning my leg but after a time I didn't feel like pressing the accelerator anymore.
I'm having a difficult time believing a car company which routinely rates favorably with the automotive press and prides itself on making technologically advanced vehicles can miss in an area which seems very basic. I've taken numerous road trips in a 98 Monte Carlo which I purchased new for the last twelve years and have never felt the least bit of discomfort sitting in the car for hours on end. Hell I had a 73 Pontiac LeMans with a vinyl bench seat and that was far more comfortable than the contoured bucket in this Accord. Additionally the driver controls in the Monte Carlo (power window switches, mirror and A/C controls) are much more easily reached than they are in the new Accord.
The Accord coupe is stylish, has great handling capabilities, and the 4 cylinder is responsive and smooth. But I'm worried if the car will be tolerable to drive unless something is done about the seats. In one respect I don't want to punish myself on long drives in the vehicle but I don't accept trading the car in and losing thousands as a number of other owners have either. I've begun looking for seat cushions and that's a problem for me for a couple of reasons. One reason is that I may have to purchase several and still not have a solution. And secondly because after spending over 22k I shouldn't have to even consider this.
Honda should address this problem if they truly value their customers. I don't anticipate speaking to the dealer because in reality their only interest in me was getting my signature on the contract. I will most likely contact Honda but I wonder if all I will get is lip service and essentially ignored. If I am not given any attention or satisfaction on the problem seat this Honda which is my first will become my last.

Headrest Solution Found!!! I was recently in a car accident and totaled my 99' Honda Accord Coupe. It was given to me for my 16th birthday and was fully loaded, even had power seats! I loved it so much I knew I wanted another Accord. A week ago I bought a brand new Accord and was so excited for about 20 minutes. On the way home, still in pain from the accident, I was uncomfortable but I thought it was just me. The next day, while driving into town, I realized the headrest was pushing my head forward and causing a great amount of pain in my neck and back. That day I went to the dealership and talked to my salesman and he came up with an awesome solution!
You can purchase a replacement headrest for an older model accord! He had a used 2005 on the lot and took that headrest out and put it in my car to see if it fit and it did! I'm not sure about other years but you can find an 05' headrest for under 100 dollars, I am getting 2 so my passenger doesn't have to suffer. I also have to get a "booster seat" for myself because I am only 5 feet tall and the lumbar support is in my middle back. I was also told to get a cushy seat cover. I know it is frustrating having to purchase additional things to make it bearable but it is a great car that is reliable and will last you for a very long time. Hope this helps.

OMG!!! What happened to the decent seats that Honda used to make? I had driven Honda Accord 1998, 1982 and the seat and headrests were comfortable. Got myself a 2011 model recently and found out the seats and headrests are poorly designed and ergonomically incorrect. What happened? Aren't products supposed to get better as you redesign them? I think Honda needs a new team to re-design their next products. I used to be a loyal Honda customer... not anymore.

Wrote a complaint about the headrests in the front seat weeks ago. Last weekend, my 6 year-old daughter complaint that her "head is not comfortable" and wanted me to remove the head rest. I finally looked at the headrests in the rear seats and found out the headrests in the rear are designed to push the passenger's head too far forwards. I refused to comply to my daughter's request, of course, due to the safety concerns. I hope Honda will try to offer a solution to this design flaw... which Honda thinks is a upgraded safety feature.

Unfortunately I only learned about this site after purchasing my 2011 Honda Accord. The seats are extremely uncomfortable and causes so much discomfort. The lumbar part sticks out so much that if feels like there's a watermelon stuck between my lower back and the seat. It came to the point that I was contemplating changing the seats or doing a trade in and taking a loss.
Did some research and found the most cost effective way to solve this problem. I purchased a Obus Ultra Forme backrest that fits perfectly in the seat. Been driving for a month now and it seems to have gotten rid of my back pain. This solution may not be for everybody, but it really helped me out. The back support cost about $150 which is the cheapest solution I could find. Not trying to market a product, just letting Accord owners know what worked for me. Hope this helps.

Has been a loyal Honda driver x20+ yrs. Got a new Honda Accord (2011) but found out the new "designed" headrests pushes my head so far forward that I have been getting neck strain/pain ever since I drove the car (a month so far). Whoever designed those headrests must have a SEVERE forward head if s/he did not notice THAT when s/he designed them. OMG... I am stuck with a new car that gives me a neck strain and headaches!!!. I have not driven my new car for long distances yet. I cannot imagine doing it without my neck strain ruining my trip!! I have even considered bending the posts on those headrest backwards if I could not find another solution. I tried to switch the headrests from the backseats but they don't match. Does anybody else have a solution to this. I need the Honda head qtrs to know about this and start making replacements for them.... QUICK!!!!

Well, I just logged 2k miles on my new 11 Accord, and I have hoped that my back would adjust to the seat, but it has not. It takes hours/days for you to develop discomfort, and you will not notice it on the test drive. I keep adjusting the seat and sometimes it seems that it fixed it, but it does not. I may have to sell the car. Back pain is a deal breaker.

Bought 2011 honda accord lx and as soon as I drove it for the first hour I had unbelievable back and neck pain from the rock hard seats. Wish I could return the car but know that's a joke. Honda should be ashamed of the seats they have in this vehicle , wish I read the blogs on this website before I purchased this torture box on wheels. Can't believe I gave my 2000 accord away for this inferior quality car. Not only is the seat hard but it vibrates with every road imperfection. Wish I had leased instead of buying . Usually keep my cars for 10 years------not this one. Got to get rid of it before I have permanent back damage.

Just bought this car. Did a test drive and had no problems. After the purchase I did my first commute to work which is a bout 80 miles. After 30 miles I couldn't believe how sore my back was and my feet were going numb from the seat. I looked on line to see if others had this problem and was shocked at how long honda has recieved complaints and done nothing to fix it. This is a great car otherwise, but if they don't do a recall in the next month or so I will take my losses and sell it. If your legs are going numb from this seat it is a serious safety concern. I can't believe a class action has not taken place against Honda.

The seat cushion is like sitting on a rock. There is very little padding under the horizontal seams. These then cut across your buttocks like you're sitting on a bar. If it wasn't for this, the seats would probably be acceptable. Currently looking for a solution to this.

The seats are so painful that they make driving impossible. Honda should replace all seats on 2011 Accords (front seats - both driver & passenger). A short test drive does not help understand the problem. I never had backache problems - but this car may give me chronic backache.

Lumbar support on Accord 2011 SE is so bad that even with a zero setting, it is causing extreme discomfort and pain in my lower back. Called Honda customer service and as expected they have no clue. I bought this a couple of days ago and regretting it. Everything else about the car is extremely good but what a pain sitting in it.

I purchased the 2011 Honda Accord Special Edition. It handles beautifully, The gas mileage is not even close to what the tell you you are going to get and the seats are very uncomfortable. I told the dealership and they said I would get used to the seats, but that is not happening and it's been 3 months.

I never owned a Honda before and the first Honda I owned became my last. I bought a 2011 Accord LX-P with quite possibly the worst seats ever made. The test drive was not long enough to cause any problem. After owning the car for about a week, the seats starts stabbing you in the back. The seats are not designed for long trips. There is no known setting on the seats to make it comfortable, it almost feels like sitting on a rock! I tried cushions, pillows, you named it, but nothing helps. I came to the dealer and they told me there is nothing they can do and its in the design of the seat. WORST SEAT EVER MADE on such a nice car, shame!!! GOT RID OF THE CAR because I can't stand the fact of being in pain for the next 60 months of financing it. IF YOU HAVE BACK PROBLEMS, I WOULD NOT BUY AN ACCORD. PERIOD.

Very painful uncomfortable hard front seats. I have owned over 20 cars, this has the worst seats of any car in have owned in over 30 years.
Honda wanted me to do a survey but it was only about the dealer nothing about the car.

This 2011 Honda is my third Honda Accord EX. I assumed it would be as great as the other two and took it for a very short test drive. That was a mistake. The seats are miserably uncomfortable. I called Honda and asked if they had a pad or something I could buy to improve the seat comfort. They had nothing.

I have been a fan of Honda having purchased five Hondas, four of them new. The 2003
Accord has very comfortable seats with excellent head rests. October of 2011 I tried a 2010 Honda Accord and found the seats to be very uncomfortable. The salesman acknowledge the problem indicating them a number of other people experienced the same discomfort. He recommended that I try a new 2011 which I did and found the seats to be questionable. But, reluctantly, I bought the car. After driving it for a number of miles the discomfort became apparent and I have now spent close to $2000 trying the alleviate the problem! The only solution is to have a small pillow between the seat and back. This is the worse seat I have sat in and others who sit in the car quickly agree with me. I believe that Honda should correct the problem but "a big company" will not address the problem of "the average person". I have steered people away from purchasing a Honda and will continue to do so. I will shortly sell the car taking a $8000 loss. At this point I will not purchase another Honda and am looking a a Toyota Camry or Avalon...too bad as otherwise I do like the Honda Accord..

My wife and both drive Honda vehicles and we have had multiple previous Honda vehicles with no previous complaints.
The 2011 Accord EX Drivers seat (not sure about the passenger seat) is the most uncomfortable seat I have ever had the opportunity to drive in and I have not found a solution yet to eliminate the discomfort and pain when driving. I will next research replacement seats. I have not spoken to Honda about this yet but will very soon.

As with all other complaints noted, there does not seem to be a remedy. I get excited for a few minutes when the numbness in my right leg goes away with a new try at a new position but within another few minutes the pain and numbness returns at a different point. I am not too far from trading the car back in and taking the loss as described by another person or look to getting a customized seat put in..this could be a less expensive solution than taking a trade in loss but frankly I am overwhelmed by the whole process at this point. How did this car make the 10 best cars 25 yrs and running? Lastly what are the rights of a new car buyer? I don't expect Walmart 90 day returns but something better than drive it off the lot and your "stuck" with it...
Update from Aug 18, 2011: Upon request I am updating my original post.....Question was WHAT DID I DO....
Bought a new car. I traded the Honda in and took a loss. I broke all my rules in buying the Honda and will NEVER NEVER do that again (I rent cars that I am interested in before I buy) I have a bad back... I drove a Hyundai Sonata rental on a 7hr drive and fell in love with the car....I went to a dealership to buy the Hyundai but was given a crazy great deal on the Honda....I took it for 15 min test drive..(MY MISTAKE) and thought hmmmmmm 25yr top 10 list ...SOLD...
I looked at all scenarios including Recaro custom seats but alas I bit hard and ended up ADDING $57 bucks to a loan that had I originally bought the Hyundai would have cost $10.00 less than the Accord. In a nutshell I am not looking back...I LOVE MY HYUNDAI SONATA and would recommend to anyone.
The reason I decided to do what I did is: I could not drive the Honda for more than 25 minutes.....my daily commute is an hour. I did not believe that it would change and I do not buy cars every 2 yrs. Recaro seats were going to be about 1$500 and look weird. So I looked at all these factors and decided I would rather look like a fool than actually be a fool and drive with a numb leg for 5-7 years.
The dealer? They said they never heard of such a thing....LOL
However I found a few sensitive to my issue ears and got a great deal on the extended warranty ( I do alot of driving and usually blow past the initial warranty years in advance)..(I paid $50.00 above cost) and that helped lessen the blow a bit.
All in all it was about a $2500 lesson I would have rather not had but my back, my leg, my wife (Who had to hear me complain every second) are happier.
And lastly I now have a "can you believe this" story to tell.
The biggest hurdle to get over was "I cannot believe I have to trade this in and take a loss"

Accord EX-L 4 cyl
Purchased this car with 13000 miles on it. During the test drive I did noticed the drivers seat felt a little different than what I used to. My wife and I discussed this, but we liked the car so we drove it again and decided that we could get use to the seats, a big mistake. After owning it for a week and driving it 320 miles we have both decided that it would be better to take the Harley on any long trips and leave the car at home. The seats are that uncomfortable. I normally keep a car for seven or eight years. This one isn't going to make it a month if we can't find a fix. Hopefully anyone contemplating the purchase of this model vehicle will find this site before the purchase.
