After having the transmission serviced (drain and fill) at the dealer, the transmission began locking up. We took it back and told them what happened. We didn’t know about the TSB at this point BUT THEY DID!!! They kept the car for two nights and just couldn’t seem to duplicate the issue so they said. They swore there were no codes but we believe they erased them. Why?
After researching the issue in Car Complaints I read the TSB and these ‘stall events’ are logged in the ECU. The TSB states that the dealer should run the scan with the appropriate parameters checked, print out the results and send them to Honda to pursue a warranty replacement.
We are about 5000 miles from the end of the warranty so time is of the essence. We are going to run this for the next week or so and take it to an independent Honda service shop that has the Honda Data Scan tool and have them do the scan, take it back to another dealership and ask them to replace the transmission under warranty.
Any one else have a better idea?
