Power steering high pressure hose is leaking on the catalytic converter. Smoke billows into the cabin of the vehicle. This makes driving with window down necessary. Afraid continued leakage will start a fire in engine compartment. Obtained a new high pressure hose but afraid that the catalytic converter will do the same thing over time. Will bring the vehicle in for maintenance but could not find recall for my VIN number associated with vehicle.

I have a 06 Acura TL and for the last few months I have heard a very winding up and down noise under the hood, when I am turning one way or the other it gets louder. I noticed a recall on my vehicle but Acura tells me no ! I took it to a shops and they informed me that it's my power steering hose leaking/ could be bad.. I have had this car for 5 years and I take good care of my car, but lately all these problems are coming full circle. I find recalls and when I call them about it they said it's not my car but I see on the website that it is, but not my VIN # !

My dash board keeps cracking over time in several places, new ones just pop upping up everywhere.this did not start until last year sometime around 100,000 mi.I talked to local dealership, Acura co.and the manufacturer of their parts.they said they wont help me.this is not right.I barely drive anywhere.my car stays in garage and is very well taken care of.never been owned/driven on the coast or fl, anywhere like that.I live in Ms. All over the internet, on acurazine, and youtube this is happening to 3rd gen TL Acura.can U help me" the cost for a new dash is very expensive $3000+. this is a faulty product on their part. There is no way they should get away with this or not make a recall.are recalls a thing of the past" iv had several problems not of my making that I just paid to have fixed but I am sick of this.car manufacturers should not be allowed to do this to people. They just blow us of!and with those of us who take care of our cars, this means their defects arent goin to occur until much later after any warranty has passed.I assure U this is not from general wear or user error.my car stays inside garage, I very rarely drive it and I keep it waxed just as ones look on a car lot.because I have a truck that I drive mainly the car is rarely used.iv hardly put any miles on car since iv owned it.everywhere everyone that owns this model Acura says its happening.I assure U this car does not stay in sunlight, has never been around harsh environments.there is nothing that any driver does to create user error that concerns"cracking all over the dash board"from left side all the way to rt side, top and bottom.just long big cracks appearing out of no where every other month now.never have I seen this on any car with well over 100,000 miles.never.many others say the same thing.this type of theivery and quality should not go on.

The contact owns a 2006 Acura TL. The contact stated that there was an abnormal noise when the steering wheel was turned in either direction. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (maguire Honda of ithaca, 315 elmira rd, ithaca, NY 14850, 607-273-1926) where it was initially diagnosed that the front axles were corroded. The front axles were replaced, but the failure continued. The dealer then repaired the carrier bearing, but it also failed to provide a permanent remedy. The contact notified the dealer several times that the multiple repairs failed to remedy the failure because the abnormal noise continued. The contact had a warranty, but the dealer had not verified if the vehicle could be repaired per the warranty. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was not available.

Over the years since I purchased the Acura 06 TL I have been having problems with the battery- car won't start sometimes. I purchased a few batteries already. Finally on 7-24-2017 I was out of town (West palm beach) when my car won't start. I went to closest Acura dealer where I learned that the issue was a defective hfl that had a parasitic drain on the battery from defective hfl. Had to purchase another battery. Acura never informed me that there was a defect of hand free link. In past I had to replace the starter and power steering. Certain features still does not work- passenger front window, heating element for car seat passenger, power outlet in console box.

Power steering rack leaking inside into the boot. Dealer says, the rack has failed an needs to be replaced. Very unusual for a car with 70000 miles only to have the power steering rack leaking. I am not the only one. Hundreds of other consumers have reported the same complaint on acurazine forums for Acura TL cars. acurazine.com/forums/third-generation-TL-2004-2008-93/ this issue needs to be investigated thoroughly.

My car has very few miles for its age and I'm told by my mechanic that my rack and pinion steering needs replacing. After doing research ive found that this is a common problem in the generation of my car. I even found that there have been prior power steering issues that resulted in recalls for this car.

When I started the vehicle, it had a moaning sound. I continued driving and the battery light, airbag light, csv light, all came on just before the dash lights flickered on and off, then totally went out and the car engine shut off. When I tried to jumpstart the car, the car started after a few minutes but when the jumper cables were removed, the car instantly shut down. The car was in the middle of the road and had to be towed to my house. Three months ago, the car would not start. I got it jumpstarted and it ran perfectly until the above incident occurred. This is the third battery this car has had since 2009.

The passenger side front sub-frame failed. The metal had fatigue in the area where the compliance bushing is mounted. If this part failed completely, there would have been a loss of steering and control. Part failure was discovered at Honda dealership when the vehicle was being serviced for a replacement timing belt.
