Century 3.1L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 77,000 miles

Bought a 2001 Buick Century in August 2005 to replace the 1996 Dodge Intrepid that had died. May of 2007 the transmission in the Buick with only 77K miles completely failed. The dealership where I bought the car wanted $2700 to replace the transmission and another $1000 to replace a leaking Manifold Gasket. Bought another car. That Buick is still sitting behind the dealership. I am done with Chrysler forever and GM is now on my hit list. If either of these companies go out of business, they will have brought about thier own demise making cars that fall apart. There is a class action lawsuit in Canada against GM for producing so many cars with faulty Manifold Gaskets. Typical repair is about $1000. GM is dying and doesn't understand that making cars that require $1000 of dollars to fix is NOT how to stay in business. Good riddance to bad manufacturing.
