The contact owns a 2008 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that the vehicle was locked with the anti-theft engaged. He then erroneously engaged the lift gate button and the lift gate opened without the anti-theft alarm sounding. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not inspected by a mechanic or a dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 50,000.
