Mechanic Replaced intermediate steering shaft, not the problem; Visited Firestone, couldn't find it; visited Chevy dealer- tightened shocks, $60 didn't resolve the problem; visited Firestone, replaced front left spindle bearing $300, alignment; didn't fix; visited a different Chevrolet dealer- torsion bar bushing, tightened various front end bolts; raised ride height on torsion bars, re aligned- Success, time and parts $1100 ! I am happy with my Avalanche.
