Driving home from work, I passed a tractor and something splashed on the passenger side of the windshield. I thought it came from the tractor, but about a mile down the road, I noticed the AC didn't feel like it was blowing cold air. I looked at my gauges and the temp was on hot! I immediately pulled off the road and turned the car off. Under the hood, I could see the thermostat housing had blown apart (hence the liquid on my windshield was antifreeze). Waited 2 hours for a tow truck! The old thermostat was made of plastic. The replacement I bought is metal. I think this whole car is defectively built.
