This car is the horrible. Stay away from this vehicle. Purchased it used , the car looked good from the outside. I was purchasing this vehicle for my son as his first vehicle . The car by all standards looked the part of someone's first vehicle. Small engine, economical on gas, all power options with the LT . I read a few reviews , some of them stating the vehicle was great and what a fantastic vehicle this was. I think they all have shares or work at Chevrolet. The one or two people who complained, mentioned things like the engine stalling mid way or whilst driving or that the car would lose power and suddenly pick up. I thought , I would purchase this vehicle as there are always people to complain. I bought the vehicle home to show my family, took it to my mechanic to see what needs to be changed , he said the brakes which I accepted. The next day I was driving on the highway, the check engine light came on, the car started vibrating, and then the car just died while I was coasting downhill. I had that sinking feeling that I made the biggest mistake in my life in not heeding to some of the complaints here. I had to sit for three hours on the side of the road , waiting for my tow truck. I took the vehicle straight to the dealer and returned it, they did not ask questions. Never will I touch a small sized Chevrolet vehicle again. I am glad that they have stopped production of the Aveo but I believe that they introduced the Sonic now.
